Maine Man Baking Shells, 4 Inch, Set of 8

The media could not be loaded.  I used these for crafting with resin, and they are beautiful. Very sturdy, not cracked and each one looks a little different!

I'm very impressed with these shells. I ordered two sets and they arrived in perfect shape and are all the same size. Used them yesterday to cook oysters in the bbq on my oyster rack. Didn't they turn out yummy looking?? Looking forward to trying them making Coquille st. Jacque next! I soaked them in a little soapy water in a bowl overnight (cooked on parmessan!). They cleaned right up with a quick scrub. Highly recommend.

These are beautiful big shells for a great price. They are mostly white with hints of blush and soft brown and measure between 4 and 5 inches across They are appropriately thick and durable. I prefer not to put anything plastic in my hermit crab tank. I chose these as they are natural and could be found in the environment they came from. They are difficult to knock over, easy for them to get into, large enough to put food or supplements in but not so large that they take up excessive room in the tank. They are ideal as feeding dishes.

Love these shells! I had looked for quite a while before deciding on these shells. They were of very good quality and very durable. We use them to make Coquilles st Jacques and the presentation in these shells is outstanding. The only reason for the 4 stars is the packaging was awful. They were shipped in a padded envelope. Thankfully none were broken.

These were the biggest I could find on Amazon. I used them for Coquilles St. Jacques (Scallops in a cheesy cream sauce).If you want a light appetizer, these are perfect. If you want these as a dinner dish, you have to serve two. Otherwise they work well. I found other larger ones on line, but the company doesn't want the sale that bad, since they never returned an email or message.

These are REALLY pretty. Nice and sturdy. I might note however that they are not all white. In my package one had a lot of orange to it, and another one had a lot of brown to it. I used them to make nightlights and they turned out beautifully. The price was good and the product was good- so all around I would give it 5 stars and I will buy again.

Normally I don't bang a product because of its packaging but with this one, packaging is important due to the shell's fragility. Maybe I got a returned set - two sets came in bubble-wrap and one was wrapped in some sort of cellophane - shells loose and banging around in the box. Anyway one of the shells was cracked (only really needed 10 so I'm not returning them). Good news is these are really nice shells and very uniform in size. All were just about 4" wide and have very nice color. Would buy again in a heartbeat, but would probably buy extras in case of breakage. I'm giving it 5 stars because the odd set probably wasn't in its original package. Would recommend to friends and family.

These are big shells for cooking however if you are going to use them as a bra as I did for a costume, you'll need to glue them together to make a cup. They have very very large lion paw shells at hobby lobby that I found for around the same price.

Lovely shell’s which my daughter who is an artist paints on. Also could be used for starter dishes.
