I just tried this cushion out on a 2 hour flight and it definitely made the seat much easier on my back. I also have been using it at home on my office chair. It's great for the at-home application, but it's too bulky and thick for use as a travel cushion, unless you are the type that carries a lot of luggage anyway. Because it's so thick, it makes the arm-rests of the airline seats too low to be comfortable to use and if you're tall like me, the headrest will also be too low. Due to the overall bulk of the cusion, I would never take this on a longer international trip, which is what I really need it for. The "stuff sack" helps a little, but it's not easy to jam the cushion in there. If you have a really bad back, this may be a great product, but for me, I just need a little extra cushion, not something this thick/bulky

I made my choice based solely on reviews, I couldn't decide on a gel cushion or memory foam. This was way cheaper and got good feedback so I figured a good try. 3 NY TO LA flights later, no complaints!! My butt no longer gets pain from sitting so long in a crappy coach seat! I seriously can't believe it. Yea, the carrying bag sucks. You need it to make it smaller to transport in a hand held carry on, but it's near impossible to get it out of the bag because of its crappy design. Need some resistance to pull it out, like a handle on the bottom of the bag. Easy to get it in if u squeeze it hard while in a roll and push it in the bag while its smaller before it inflates, sort of like how earplugs work.

I bought this for travel to Hawaii from PA (over 10 hours of flights total) while 33 weeks pregnant. All I can say is THANK GOODNESS I purchased this beforehand! This is my 3rd pregnancy and I have had severe coccyx pain the whole time (after suffering from a broken tailbone during my first labor), so I was REALLY concerned about the airplane seats leaving me in crippling pain after sitting for so long. This cushion lasted about 6 hours of those flights (after which I became so uncomfortable that only standing could help), and I am really thankful I bought it. I do not know how I would've survived the long travel in horrible airplane seats without it. I also found it very easy to get back in the case, and I did not find it too large to carry through the airport with my carryon. It was definitely worth it, I would highly recommend it for anybody suffering from the same ailments who has to travel or sit for a long period of time!

I bought this for my trip to Africa which was two 10 hour flights in a row going there and the same going home. It sinks down more than I'd like (I only weigh around 125lbs) and at first I wasn't sure if it was actually doing anything. Half way into my first flight I sat without the cushion to see if it made a difference and within 2 minutes I was dying for the cushion back! It's amazing and made flying there WAY more tolerable! Last time I went I was in a ton of pain, especially my tailbone and had to constantly get up and walk the isles or stand in the back. I have chronic back problems and have never in my life been able to sleep on a plane, but was able to sleep the majority of my flights going home thanks to this. I'm going back to Africa again in a couple months and I'm looking forward to using my cushion again! One small complaint is that it's kinda bulky when you have it in a carry on bag or backpack but the one reason I chose this brand over others is because it came with its own carrying bag. You have to really fold it up tight to get it in but I had no problem and was able to do that while waiting for the people ahead of me to get off the plane. Even though it's a little bulky, I wouldn't mind it if they added more padding in the cushion so it doesn't flatten out. I hope it retains its shape after my next flights because I love this thing!!!!

Bought 2 for my husband and I for a long flight to Asia and back. What a difference! After the first 10 hour flight we both were convinced - butts weren't sore, lower back wasn't aching and we both managed to sleep which i rarely can do on a plane. It's big to carry around but the velcro strap on the bag allowed me to secure it to the handle of my wheeled carry on between flights. I won't travel economy without this.

Bought and used on a 15 hour flight in coach to Shanghai. Not bad, but by inflatable seat cushion is more comfortable and easier to transport. I like the cushion and belive others would like it, but its bulky and not the best opion available.

I've been using the cushion as a test in the car and on my office chair. When properly placed, not too far forward or back, it supports nicely, keeps my tailbone from aching.CON It's bulky when rolled. Also I had to sew a strong fiber handle at the end of the bag to facilitate pulling the cushion out! Others complained about this. The maker needs to add a handle for all those who don't have a sewing machine or just want it right!

This is a great cushion. I traveled on a 8 hour flight; my tail bone had no problems. My posture was better, my back felt better and I slept longer. Getting the cushion back into the carry bag is difficult, but rolling it up with part of the roll up sticking out worked.

I bought this to use on a long air flight to Asia. It was too bulky and kept sliding off my seat. It is probably made more for a hard chair.

A nice soft cushion for those increasingly hard airline seats, especially exit rows which I try to get. But it is quite bulky.
