The hexbug arena max is a ridiculous amount of fun. It's a great toy for any battlebots fan. The arena is the perfect size to have a robot combat fight inside of. The screws are great at holding and grinding bots. The pulverizers are another nice addition to the arena and they have a nice amount of power to them. The two boys that came with the set, Tombstone and the build-your-own bot, are just plain awesome. I also love the detail on both of the bots. It makes them both look like true combat robots. Both drive well and have a nice amount of power to the weapons. The one challenge I faced was trying to figure out how to get the controllers off the same frequency. Other than that, everything performed as expected. If you're looking for your first hexbug battlebots set, this is the way to go.

A bit fragile but ridiculously fun. Even the adults wanted to play. Just buy it. Rechargeable batteries a requirement.

Alright, I know what you're thinking. Mancave addition, this guy can't be serious.. Yes Indeed I am 120% Serious. In fact I am so serious I had to buy another one of these off Ebay so I could piece the two together to make it bigger. I get my 3 buddies together on weekends and we have some drinks while playing. I've honestly got every bot that's been created to this date and it's a load of chaos. The entire time we'll be screaming and smashing into each other to play for things like shots or even watches that we bring. The two bots that come with the arena are quite impressive. The Build your own bot isn't the best by any means but if you actually get into these hexbugs- look at some more of the BYOBs they offer to increase your playability with friends. I have 4 Custom bots along with all the attachments. It is honestly refreshing to have the capabilities of swapping out weapons and armor just to enjoy the same machine in a different form. I honestly can't recomend this purchase enough for guys who have 1-3 friends who are just looking for a reason to drink or shout.

My 9 year old son wanted an arena to use the Battlebots he already had. We struggled with them on our kitchen floor because we have pets (and dust) household debris would get into the motors and very easily make them stop. With the arena, we're able to use the bots in a different spot in our house and more reliably keep them from encountering the stuff that gunks them up. The two Battlebots that it comes with are pretty fun ones. We've found that these battery operated ones seem to work a little better than the rechargeable ones that are sold separately, so that was a plus for this set. The spinning gear thing on one side is fun and adds some playful drama to your bot fights. Having them containted to the arena instead of all over a larger floor makes it less frustrating as an adult and easier to actually get them to hit each other. My one criticism is that the hammers break kind of easily. My son was enthusiastically hitting my bot with one of the hammers and I guess he hit it a little too hard and the piece on the inside broke, so the hammer doesn't work anymore. Glue wouldn't hold it together, so I guess we hav to live it it. It's quite pricey for what it is, but if that doesn't bother you, it's a fun addition for your aspiring robotics master.

Four year old grandson loves his battlebots and arena. He loves re-enacting the battles on TV. Controllers and bots can be finicky, but new batteries and learning their quirks is a small price to pay.

We were so excited for this but as other reviews have pointed out, the remotes don't move the bots correctly. Worked for like 30 minutes before they started malfunctioning. Very disappointed.

The arena is huge! But, it’s very cheaply made, the brand new unopened box came crushed on one side and there were plastic pieces floating around in the box. It still works but it’s a shame that right out of the box it was already cracked in places and pieces broken. Nice idea but product is just cheaply made .

There were a few parts that did not work. Had to call support a few times to get them fixed

Spielt man mit den Bots ist die Arena schon Sinnvoll. Bei den beiden beigelegten Rivalen ist Tombstone jedoch absolut überlegen. Die Magnetplatten hängen bei Tombstone so fest, dass weder der "Build-Your-Own-Tank" noch "Rusty" oder "Hypershock" eine Chance haben.

Mon fils est ravi. La consommation de piles est assez importante mais le plaisir de mon fils est immense.
