Nice Book
I have enjoyed reading this book with my son-- what he will let me get through-- and particularly like that uses a portrait format to tell its story (its very fitting with the subject).

unique
Leo is a brave explorer off on a journey to the center of the earth. Join him on his adventure as he encounters monsters, alien kings, and the Quadraclops! Kids will learn new things about geology and biology as the read this unique tale. The book format its self will lead kids right to it. The book is long and slender. The pages set up in a neat way as well. Kids that enjoy comics should give this one a try.

Scieney and Fun
I won this book from GoodReads and read it as soon as it came in the mail. I thought that the direction the book was written was very unique and worked very well with plot of the story (going to the center of the earth.) I also very much enjoyed the exclamations that included famous scientists names used by Leo. This was a very fun and educational book to read.

We love Leo Geo and Jon Chad
Our son is now 7, and has had his beloved Leo Geo book since it came out in 2012. He has not only read and reread the book, but is in the process of coloring each page to make it come to life.He was so thrilled with the book, we sent an email to Jon Chad. Not only did Jon get back to us, he sent a little doodle from the new book coming out in November. Here is the back and forth of our email - thank you, Jon Chad!!______________________________________________________Dear Jon Chad,I think the next Leo Geo book should be travelling back to the time of dinosaurs, because I love the Leo Geo book and because I think that would be cool. You can put any kind of dinosaur in it if you want. You could put T-Rex, Triceratops, Stegasaurus, Allosaurus...any kind of dinosaur you want.I like Leo Geo so much because he gets to meet cool guys and gets to go on cool journeys. And I think you should have more books with his sister and him in different places. And I think you should put all of your books in libraries, because since they are so good, people could have them forever. Thanks for writing such good books,- Wes(and his mom, Allyson)Hello Wes!Sorry for the late reply! I just finished drawing the second Leo Geo book! This time, him and his brother Matt Data have to save each other in SPACE! You're right, though, time-travelling would be an AWESOME idea!I LOVE dinosaurs, and was pretty bummed that there might not be any in this book. Then I thought, "hey, it's MY book. I could put as many dinosaurs as I want in there!" I added a T-Rex on one of the pages! I hope you like it. My favorite dinosaur is a ankylosaurus; I love their tail!Thank you so much for taking the time to write, and for all the great ideas you have!Have a great summer!Jon Chad

Splendid
Children are absolutely going to adore this book, particularly children with a love of exploring. Jon Chad uses brilliant art, direction and book design to deliver a very unique product. The content is very specific, but Kids will either be completely immersed in the fantastic visual style or will just eat up the content as is.I can't recommend this book higher, or praise Jon Chad any more. If you love your kids, get them this book.

small and no colour inside
i expected a larger book with clear colourful illustrations, like the cover. sad to say, there is no colour in the book and the illustrations, i feel, are dense and inaccessible in this size and black and white. i love the idea of this book. the amazon description should include a โlook insideโ.

My grandchildren like it, me not so much
As a lapsed geophysicist I was excited to give this book to my grandchildren but reading it to them was not good for me. There are some facts about the earth there but the monsters left me cold. The kids thought it was fine though and they will have internalized the idea that the planet is a ball so it was worthwhile.
