USB C Docking Station Dual Monitor, 9-in-1 Laptop Docking Station for Windows, Dual HDMI, VGA, 3 USB, PD, TF/SD Hub Adapter for MacBook HP Dell Lenovo

The media could not be loaded.  I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro and I love the laptop but I'm not too happy that it doesn't have any USB-A ports, Thunderbolt port, or even HDMI port. Instead, it has 4 USB-C ports. This means I can only external accessories that has USB-C connector with my MacBook Pro. Well, this hub solves that problem.This USB-C hub was designed specifically for laptops that only has USB-C ports and especially the ones that are powered by USB-C PD port. I can plug this hub into one of my USB-C port on my MacBook Pro and this hub itself has a pass-through USB-C PD port so I don't actually waste the USB-C port this is plugged into. I can charge my MacBook Pro by connecting the power cable to the USB-C port on this hub!I also now get 3 USB-A 3.0 ports that I can use as well as micro-SD and SD card reader.The best part is that this hub has both VGA and HDMI ports! This is such as great option because when I go to the office, we have a shared cubicles based on first come first serve and some cubicles have a monitor with HDMI connection while others have old monitor with VGA connection. Well, with this hub, I can use old or newer monitor since it can support both VGA and HDMI connection!I happened to have a monitor at home that has both VGA and HDMI connection so I tested it out before bringing this hub to my office and it worked flawlessly. Before buying this hub, I had to use other USB-C ports on my MacBook Pro for charging my iPhone as well as for power cable and USB thumb drive but now all my other 3 USB-C ports are freed up, thanks to this amazing USB-C hub!5 out of 5 stars! Everything works perfect including the usbc pass thru charging port. I also like the little green LED. Very well made with thick wire and aluminum case.

Using this for a work laptop to push out to two additional monitors. I am having issues with getting the laptop to recognize the two additional monitors when hooked straight into the docking station. I managed to find a workaround and hook one monitor into my laptop directly, while hooking other monitor's HDMI into the docking station.Beware - this thing runs HOT. I read another review that suggested it may be from running a power cord into the docking station. I had to unplug it, because it burned me just touching the docking station after a few hours with the power running into it.Overall, I'd say its good for the price. Comparatively, I'd expect to spend anywhere from $100-200 for a docking station from the PC manufacturer. So - I'd say win-win. Hopefully it lasts a while, but I'm skeptical with the amount of heat this thing is putting off. Can't imagine how hot it is internally.

I use this Hub all the time, especially with my hard drive doing time machine backups.

I liked the price. It is an OK product for the low price. Unfortunately, despite having two HDMI ports, it does not support two screens, so I must connect my second monitor directly to the laptop. It is a little slow and unreliable upon connections. Sometimes I need to disconnect and reconnect multiple times to get it to work; but as I said, you only can expect so much for such a low price.

Overall very good and well priced product. The one problem is that it does draw power from the laptop power supply so the laptop doesn't charge as fast when the power goes through the docking station. If I hook it up to the other USB C port it tells me the video outputs will not function... so I go with the slower charge. It does charge fast enough that the battery is not draining when using the dock so you just have to either have a power supply designed for a dock (higher wattage) or plan for the laptop to charge slower while on the dock.

This is an incredible value, but you get what you pay for. There is some occasional input dropping for the USB ports, where you'll be typing and letters will be lost. It's quite rare, however, and the price was worth it.

UPDATE 4/1/22: The Customer Service team will be sending a replacement. I'll update the review once I have the new unit.So in general it works ok. The connection to the USB-C and Thunderbolt ports works great. The unit does seem to allow multiple USB-3 devices to connect and does pass-thru power well.The issue I have is the second screen flashes multiple times per day. I bought this as a second "docking station" as the other one I have only provided one external display. Great for work but not at home where I have 2 monitors. I have yet to try the second HDMI output port and do hope it works. But with the first monitor flashing this might just be set aside and a different brand ordered. I would not recommend it at this point.
