Replacement Sony TV Remote control RMT-TX300E for Sony Bravia TV LED LCD T V - No Setup Needed

I bought this to replace my previous remote, which had started to wear out, with the buttons needing to be pressed harder as it aged, so it was time for a new one. After putting in two AAA batteries it worked straight away, with all functions behaving as expected. I have two Sony TVs in my house, different models and a few years between them, and it works fine on both. In fact, Sony have used the same infrared signals for all their TVs for over 20 years, so this remote will work with virtually any UK Sony model made since the year 2000. It feels about standard size, fairly lightweight, and comfortable to hold. The standard buttons are all present, but they may be in a different configuration from whichever remote you’re currently using. The volume and channel +/- buttons are at the lower end, with the numbered buttons near the top, the opposite of my previous one, but I got used to it very quickly. There are also a few special buttons: a YouTube button and a Netflix button. I’d seen these before on other remotes and thought they were mostly a novelty, but once I became familiar with them they turned out to be quite handy, switching the television directly to the respective app without any intermediate menus. Yes, it saves only about three seconds, but then having a remote control at all is a small, lazy indulgence generally, so I like it. Another very handy bonus button, which I wasn’t expecting, is the channel toggle switcher. Pressing this flips between the current channel and the one you were watching last, back and forth each time you press it. This is actually quite useful, for example, when adverts come and you want to have a quick look at what’s happening on the other side for a couple of minutes, you can just click this button to flip over and back easily. All good so far. Pros: • Works immediately without any setup • Well made • Bonus function buttons • Works at a wide range of angles • Buttons easy to press • Excellent value Cons: • Some small print if you are poor-sighted • Batteries not included Overall, this is a good, reliable replacement remote. Worked straight out the box. As good as original

This remote is a great replacement for my Sony Bravia TV. It works perfectly straight out of the box with no setup required, and all the buttons function as expected. The build quality is solid, and it feels just like the original. However, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because one of the printed buttons has started to wear away after a few uses. It’s a minor issue, but I expected the printing to last longer. Overall, it’s still a reliable and convenient replacement remote, and I’d recommend it for anyone needing a quick and easy solution for their Sony Bravia.

Purchased this because the original remote seemed to drain batteries very quickly. This remote seems functionally as good as the original and batteries do seem to last a bit longer although we are still talking a few weeks and not months. Seems to be a good durable , compatible replacement. Recommended
