Disappointing book
I have enjoyed the Caillou books and shows, and I liked that Caillou is able to 'express' himself without fear of what mom and dad will say. However, within that freedom there should be boundaries. This book attempts to address feelings and emotions over a daily situation, which I liked, but it did not address the proper way to respond to those emotions. No adult person in real life is able to yell and scream at someone without there being repercussions, but the counselor that wrote this book must feel that its okay to allow children to express themselves with no strings attached. I wish that this book addressed the fact that while you may say and think whatever you want, there will be negative consequences to follow in the real world. I feel as though that's what we were preparing our children for; the real world. I strongly disagree with the views represented in this book, it was a disappointment to me personally.

Horrible childrens book!
I purchased this book because my two year old daughter loves Caillou and watches him on Sprout regularly. She was so excited for me to read this book and I was shocked when turning the pages, it reads "I hate" and "mommy and daddy are awful" these are just not words I want my two year old to hear and I can't believe the writer and publisher put out a story like this, I am throwing this book in the trash and going to try a positive replacement. This book is a waste of money but mostly really sad to see such negative thoughts and words in a childrens book.
