Perfect for convenience, awesome festival totem
Perfect for me. Use this as my festival totem, lightweight and small, fits in my backpack. this is built to be small and convenient, not super strong, good for a light nylon flag. not good for cars/bikes/heavy wind. after 3 days of use im seeing some slight bending at full extension. i expect ill get 2-5 more festivals out of it before I manage to break it, which is a great value for the price considering how tough i can be on stuff. totally will replace it when i break it, will probably order a spare just in case.

Sturdy, easy to use
Took this to EDC and works as advertised to hold my flag when I needed it and folded up nicely when I didn't need it. The only thing is that it doesn't come with his to attach it flag so don't forget to buy some.

I love this little guy
I love this little guy! I used it as a totem for the first time at a rave (Nocturnal Wonderland). I zip tied a small California flag to it and whenever i got tired of waving it around, I simply collapsed it and it fix perfectly in my Hydration backpack. The only thing i did not like is the top hook is drilled into the pole itself and the bottom hook slides on the pole itself so whenever i waved the flag the bottom hook would start sliding to the top. But other than that its perfect for my needs!

Awesome little extendable, SS flag poles!
I paid no attention to the UNextended length and was shocked at how small they are! I bought 4 - because they were so small and I feared low quality but that is not the case at all. Excellent little extendable poles. Mine aren't going to be carried with flags and I suspect the super good price is due to the foam grip which I wouldn't expect to last but I could be totally wrong. It LOOKS like cheap foam but it doesn't FEEL like cheap foam - I don't know. It's tight, not sticky or gummy feeling and seems pretty tough and stable. Nevertheless, if I was going to try it out as a hand-held pole I was going to be waving around, I'd make sure I had some gaff tape, just in case. If it didn't hold up, I'd get a bunch of Sugru and make my own handles. STILL worth it.

Worked great at the beach
Used this to hang a Pittsburgh Penguins flag on our deck at the beach during the Stanley Cup Final. Easy to use and no problems supporting a thin nylon flag in moderate beachfront winds. The flag mostly stayed straight, it did get furled up a bit overnight but no worries to clear it. This flag had a sleeve/pocket and one tie at the bottom, so I tied the tie to the bottom connector on the flagpole. (We used a rope to tie it to a deck post, this flagpole is designed with a handle and not to go into a bracket.) Held up to three days and one night on the deck, packed down really easily - great small size.

Flagging on a Budget
I got this just in time for a music festival (Electric Forest). Be wary as sometimes security forbids metal flagpoles from coming through! I attached a flag to the flagpole using zip ties, and that worked well enough. The gromets on this flagpole do feel flimsy, and in hindsight I would have used a smaller, more colorful flag. I wouldn't use this flagpole in heavy winds, as it feels too flimsy for that. But light to medium winds shouldn't take this sucker down. That said, for the price, it telescopes upwards to a great height, and my friends could find me easily in the crowd. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a flagpole on a budget.

Works pretty well but not fully extended for heavier flags
I can't use it fully extended. It's too weak. I have to use the "thick" end of it to be able to hold my flag with no bending.

Brilliant dog training target stick.
I train my dogs to do tricks and needed a target stick as I lost my “official” clicker training stick. Lucky me! The official” target stick with clicker 1) only extends about two feet and 2) costs about $20.00. For less than half that much this extends much, much farther. Sure, I have to hold the clicker in my hand, but my clickers come on a wrist band so it’s no problem to hold the stick and clicker in the same hand. Even if it gets to be a problem. I can always just duck tape the clicker to the handle.Oh, and this one is much sturdier than the “official” one. Win-win all around.
