I've struggled with irritated hands since I was little. It got worse as a teenager, when I had large patches of rough, irritated skin on my hands, wrists, and arms, and I was then told by a dermatologist that I had eczema. I tried so many products over the years, from luxurious hand creams with shea butter to other eczema-marketed products, and nothing worked, and everything always stung my skin. But then I found this blessed Aveeno Eczema Therapy Nighttime Itch Relief Balm! An absolute God send!!! My skin was in such bad condition when I first tried this that I had to use it consistently and stick to it, but sure enough, I started to see results like I'd never seen before! When I would become lax in using it after I saw how my skin was improving, I became discouraged and thought the product wasn't working for me anymore, so if you have pretty bad skin, I encourage you to use it consistently to KEEP the eczema away and at bay. I'll also note that I agree with other people who say that the Aveeno Eczema Therapy Daily Moisturizing Cream is not as good because I tried that one first, and it really couldn't help my horrible skin at all. If you feel exasperated about your skin like I did, I HIGHLY recommend that you try out this Nighttime Itch Relief Balm! I have inverse psoriasis. I go to bed every night with intense itchiness in all of the areas that I get flare ups in. My itchiness definitely annoys my husband and makes it hard for both of us to fall asleep.I put this cream on tonight and I wouldn’t say it was *INSTANT!* but I didn’t have to itch myself to shreds when I got into bed so it definitely helped enough for that, and I am now about 2 hours after putting it on and I’m not itchy and I generally would be right about now.I use the just normal version of this lotion as an everyday thing to help me control my psoriasis but this stuff. Not going to bed itchy anymore is going to be such a game changer.

I have been on the lookout for a product that would equal to or better than Petroleum Jelly. I think I've found it with this product. I think this is the best lotion out there and can and should be used whether or not you have Eczema.PROS:1. Once it goes on, it lasts for 2-3 days with only minor touch ups.2. It goes on easily whether the skin is moistened or not.3. The smell isn't overpowering4. It's water soluble, so I can slug my body, but still be able to wash the palms of my hands so they don't feel greasy and gooey.5. It's FSA approved! I like to stock up a year in advance.CONS:1. It moisturizes differently than petroleum jelly. PJ, creates a barrier over the water and the skin. It's not water soluble.Aveeno Eczema merges with the water and provides a barrier that releases the water into the skin, like extended release. - If you're not careful, you can waste AE because the skin is too wet.2. It's a little cost prohibitive if you're on a budget

This stuff is nothing short of a miracle! I overnighted it because my legs were itching so bad and nothing has been working. I have used it for just two days and already the raised bumps have subsided and the itching was gone immediately after the first application. You won't want to be without this if you have Eczema. (The picture was taken after 2 days of use.)

I love Aveeno. This is my first purchase of the Eczema nighttime balm. It is super thick. It feels like Vaseline. It does feel greasy after you put it on. Obviously it is for eczema so it has to be moisturizing. I do have eczema. Aveeno lotions imo do not feel greasy after you apply which is why I love their lotions. This balm is definitely perfect for applying at nighttime to help heal your skin while you have some down time. My skin always splits due to extremely dry skin even though I use lotions every time I wash my hands and after showers. This would be perfect after a shower to lock in the moisture. I would definitely recommend. I use the silicone “socks” at night when my feet are in need of moisture. This would be perfect to use before putting on the silicone socks. The silicone socks do feel like chicken cutlets being put on your feet but in the morning when you take them off my feet are so soft and smooth. I can turn the jar upside down and it didn’t move, that’s how thick it is. I will purchase again.

I had some really itchy skin that would drive me crazy at night. This stuff stopped it the first time I used it. It has been great and I only wish I had gotten it sooner!

We love this stuff and keep buying more. Even if your kiddo doesn't actually have eczema, the thickness of this lotion feels like healing ointment and is great for any dry or flaky skin. Both my kids have sensitive skin and the light scent of this doesn't bother them at all.

I had the worst flare up I’ve ever experienced and this saved me. It’s really thick and moisturizes for so long after it’s been absorbed. After using this product for a couple of weeks, my skin has almost completely resolved. Could not recommend more.
