We have four dogs and have gone through three couches in the past 10 years. We Just got new couches and we wanted something where the dogs did not jump up and ruin them… A friend recommended these. Purchased two mats for each couch. It was a learning curve at first since the dogs were used to jumping up on the furniture. It took a couple weeks for them to not jump up anymore. They would jump, fill them out and then jump back down. It did not hurt them. Now they don’t even think about jumping on the couch! The batteries are now actually dead, but they still do not jump up. They have been a lifesaver for our new expensive couches!

So the product can sound a little inhumane just based off of the description but it genuinely isn’t. My dogs used to jump up on the couch all the time but one time jumping on these mats…no more. The shock really doesn’t hurt that much but it does get the point across. The product is perfectly sized for an 11X11 couch (with pillows). And the noise from the product is really where its true value for the money is because that’s what scares and trains the dogs the best. Overall great performance and great product.

I got this to keep my cats off of the kitchen counter after successfully teaching them to stay off when we are around; however, the second we walk away that is the first place they go.This product was immediately dubbed an amazing purchase after turned it on and walked away. I hear the beep of the mat and the crash of my vase naively placed next to it. My cat has not even looked up at the counter since.The mats come rolled up in a small box causing some deformation of the plastic but nothing serious. The instructions are very simple and pretty easy to read. Batteries are not included so make sure you order 2EA 9V batteries.The interface feels very simple and feels like it needs some UI improvement.I would buy it again if i had to

We bought these mats to prevent the dogs from getting on the couch and they did not work. We have large breed dogs and they just knocked them off the couch. They do not have a way to stay on the couch. They might be better for small dogs or cats, but we saw no help from this purchase. We returned them the next day.

Works as described. I bought ours to keep the cat off the soft top jeep we have. Don't drive away with them on. They will fly off! But the cat stays off the jeep.

My cat likes to get up the kitchen counter at night while the household is asleep (we have a small indoor camera on the window sill). I’ve tried everything to deter her - larger static mats, vibration/shock collar, sticky pads, you name it. She’s very smart. Larger static pad, she listens for buzzing, she’s behaves with the collar on, sticky pads don’t bother her. Thought a smaller static pad with sound and static would work - nope. Caught her camera doing tip toes around them. So I had to return the product. Still looking for a deterrent device. Not giving up yet.

Tough review. I bought two and they work. Dogs got the point immediately. Problem is, one of them only worked for the first battery. When I replaced the battery it wouldn’t turn back on. Tried multiple batteries. Disappointing shelf life. Worked for a month or so and died. Works well but malfunctions quick too and then it’s dead..no resuscitation

Keeps the dogs away

I have two very sneaky cats. I like them, but they're cats. And they don't respect restrictions being placed on them in their house. Fortunately, some of the higher functioning members of the human race designed a product that has allowed me to take back some semblance of control over the home I so generously make the mortgage payments for on their behalf. That feeling of gratification I felt from hearing a beep followed immediately by the sound of a furball landing on the other side of the kitchen may seem a touch sadistic, but it's keeping the peace (I talked another human into touching the mat. The reaction indicated it delivers a noticeable jolt). All I ask for is no felines on the table or counters. That's fifteen square feet of real estate within their estate. And thanks to these mats, I have that now. Cheers!

Tiempo de uso: una semanaHabía probado muchas opciones para proteger mis sillones de las travesuras de mis perrhijos (fundas, repelentes, etc) pero nada me había podido ayudar. Pedí el pack con 2 tapetes bastantes largos, el plástico es flexible y funciona con pilas cuadraditas. Primero probé la descarga para asegurarme que no fuera agresiva y la verdad es soportable nada fuerte. Procedí a ponerlo sobre el sillón y a la entrada de la cocina en el modo dónde primero suena y luego lanza la descarga eléctrica y wow súper efectivo. Se están acostumbrando a no entrar y realmente lo amo. Vale cada peso para mí paz mental ya que cada que salía a mi regreso siempre me encontraba con una "sorpresita". Totalmente recomiendo si haz intentado entrenar a tu canhijo y no haz probado otras alternativas. Muy funcional.

These do not work. They sporadically turn on and off and do not work when my dog put his paws flat on them. He is large so it's not a weight issue. He does not have excess hair on his paws.Wish I could return these, they are terrible.

The coils are spaced further apart than others on the market so smart cats can simply step between coils and reach their destination undeterred. Would work great for dogs with larger paws. Returned because it was useless with my cats. Quality was not as good as the Scat Cat mat, but great deal with two of these for the price of one of the higher quality mats.
