The media could not be loaded. I recently got my hands on the Govee P1 DreamView Kit, and I must say, it’s been quite the experience. This kit promises to sync RGB lights to your TV using a camera, creating a colorful, immersive experience, and it certainly delivers.First off, the installation process was surprisingly straightforward, both for the hardware and the software. It was a simple matter of following the instructions, and before I knew it, everything was set up. The kit comes with everything you need, making it quite user-friendly.But the ease of installation is just the beginning. The vibrancy, accuracy, and responsiveness of the colors this kit produces are absolutely top-notch. Whether I was watching a movie, playing a video game, or just chilling with some music videos, the Govee P1 DreamView Kit added a whole new level of visual enjoyment.Moreover, the Govee app offers limitless customization options, which I found to be a significant plus. You can play around with the settings until you get just the effect you’re looking for, making each viewing experience uniquely yours.However, no product is perfect, and the Govee P1 DreamView Kit is no exception. The one area where I ran into some trouble was syncing the color to the TV. It took a bit of time and patience to get it right. But once you’ve got it set up, the result is definitely worth the initial effort.In my opinion, the Govee P1 DreamView Kit truly shines when paired with other Govee DreamView lights. The synchronization between the devices creates a cohesive, vibrant atmosphere that makes any room come alive.In summary, the Govee P1 DreamView Kit is a worthy addition to any entertainment setup. I am so glad we purchased this Govee light set. I had been wanting to enhance our home television/movie experience with a backlit display, but was seeing how expensive certain brands were. Since a relative of mine had purchased the Govee brand before and was very happy, I decided to take a chance. Installation was easy and straightforward. Calibration was needed to ensure accuracy of the camera and TV handshake. Pairing the device to my WiFi was easy and made it so I could easily use the app to control the features and lighting displays. I was able to pair this to my Apple HomeKit homebridge set up so I can have Siri turn them on and off with my Apple TV Siri Remote or through my HomePods. I get so many compliments from guests when they come over and watch it and I cannot watch basic TV anymore without turning them on. They also provide a nice “night light” when watching TV that it doesn’t require me to turn on any lamps nearby any longer. The Govee brand is great and a wonderful alternative to the Phillips ones and so much CHEAPER!

I've seen some decent LED strips before, but these ones are on a whole other level. The DreamView T1 Pro is like stepping into a video game or something. It's insane!I was a bit skeptical at first, thinking it might be one of those gimmicky smart lights that don't actually do much, but oh boy, these things deliver. The color changing, the brightness, the sync with music and movies - it's all just so seamless and awsome! I mean, I've had friends over who've never seen anything like this before, and they're always blown away.I'm giving these a solid 5 stars becuase they're literally one of the best smart lighting purchases I've ever made. If you're lookin' to take your room (or office or whatever) to the next level. I did have issues with the ahesion for the control box not sticking but everything else is great.

I really do enjoy these back lights. They provide a pleasant atmosphere to my living room. The camera does a good job at watching when you switch colors, and there is not a noticable lag in the switch.I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars because of the camera. It does not fit well on newer, thin tvs. I have the 2020 LG CX 55 inch. It is super thin at the top. Luckily there is a wider area on the bottom, but it is recessed from the edge. The only way to get the camera on naturally is to leave it barely hanging from the front (camera doesn't even see the TV at all this way), or smash it up against the bottom until it sticks (camera is angled too deeply and will only get a fraction of the screen). Luckily I had some furniture leg pads that weren't in use, so the sticky from the camera adhered to the bottom of the pad, and the sticky from the pad adhered to my tv, thus removing a significant portion of the gap. It is still not perfect. A small portion of my screen is not picked up by the camera, but it is enough to be functional. (Also I had to bottom mount the camera off to the side just a bit, because dead center on this TV model has the remote sensor, and an ambient light sensor that would be covered by the camera if I mounted it dead center).With this issue aside, the lights are bright, and soothing. I definitely do not regret getting this as a birthday gift. The people who are complaining that the colors aren't accurate either 1) did not properly set up and calibrate their system or 2) are expecting the lights to directly mimic what is on the screen. Number 1 can be fixed. And number two is expecting more than what these lights can offer. I don't think anything can even do this that is on the market today. Please watch a video on these lights to see what they are intended to do, so that you don't have unrealistic expectations.If tv backlighting is something you are in the market for, this is a great buy.
