Great product, helps our sensitive child sleep better and longer
As soon as we started using this SnuggleWool crib pad my baby started sleeping 10-15 minutes longer during each nap at minimum and sometimes they even go on for as long as a couple of hours. Previously I could only get my child to nap for 35 minutes at most.At night this also helps her stay a good temperature as I use it in conjunction with a merino wool sleep sack by Woolino.I suspect this works as well as it does for us because our baby seems to be more sensitive to touch and temperature. She hates being cold and wet. Whereas I know other babies can sit in a wet diaper for a while. Consider this while trying to figure out if this will help your child.We love this product and it absolutely met our hopes. There are some key things to note about this.- It is natural wool fiber, but knit to a polyester backing. When we first got it there was both the natural smell of the wool lanolin and the slight chemical smell. After washing it the chemical smell went completely away and only the lanolin smell remained.- It is okay in terms of the softness I expected from wool, but don't buy this thinking it's going to be like your soft poly fleece.- It does shed, but a lot of it comes out in the wash and we use a crib sheet over it as recommended for our child under 1 year.- It needs to be washed with fine wool wash.I was totally fine with all the above because as a knitter I've dealt with all of these things before when making sweaters.PROs of why I love this:- Helps regulate baby's temperature & softens crib mattress but not too much (to avoid suffocation concerns)- Is machine washable- Doesn't have to be washed that much- Poly knit also gives it a regular shape and covers entire crib area (my 5 month old baby is very adept at rolling around to every corner of her crib)- A sheep did not die to create this productCONs:- Sheds (but I use crib sheet over it)- Takes a while to dry (as it is hang-dry only)- Expensive

Buy this!
This truly smells like an animal which is somewhat gross but very comforting because you realize it's natural. I am absolutely obsessed with this and if it wasn't so expensive I would buy it for every person that I know. Makes me crazy how hard the crib mattresses are and my baby has a hard time sleeping on them. This has made me feel good about what she sleeping on and she sleep so soundly on this. First time ever that she slept over six hours at a time. Amazing product thank you thank you!!!

Worth it! So cozy
I had originally purchased a bassinet size pad for my son’s bassinet and he seemed to love it. Very cozy and soft. He’d been having resistance to sleeping in his crib so I bought this pad and he’s been loving it so far (he’s 9 months and fully able to roll over and wouldn’t suffocate). We put it on top of the bedsheet but I imagine it would work under a sheet as well.

Great product--why hasn't the US caught up with this method?
Always covering the crib mattress with a sheet, it makes the sleeping surface feel so comfortable for my granddaughter. Widely used in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, it's a wonder why it hasn't caught on here in the States.

Makes crib a bit cozier
Now that I'm not worried about SIDS this is a nice way to cushion a firm mattress. I put a jersey sheet over it. It does matte down a little but I rotate it every time I change the sheet and that seems to help.

SnuggleWool Lambs Wool Crib Pad
I have always used a lambs wool crib pad for my children. My adult grandchildren have purchased the adult size from companies in their states.The baby sleeps better as the lambs wool crib pad keeps his body temperature at a comfortable rate. The lambs wool wicks away moisture.

Warm, but became like felt after 3-4 nights.
Very warm, easy to fit, but after a few days it's not fluffy at all, looks and feels like felt, especially where my baby slept.There was smell, we aired the pad dor about 3 days - it disappeared, can't complain.

Cozy!!
Bought this for my grand daughter's crib. I noticed each time I put her down for her nap; after having her fall asleep warm and snuggly in my arms, her bed was cold and hard by comparison. This did the trick! I put it under her sheet and now when I put her in bed it is soft and quickly warms to her!
