Not easy to read
The book is good, but maybe it is old, the words are not easy to read for English as second language.

The title makes us wonder why bad guys don't have birthdays
This is a great book on four year olds. Piaget helps us to understand how young children think and learn. Vivian Gussin Paley gives us many examples of how young children learn from their environment and how they change their beliefs when confronted with information from other children.

meh
To be honest with Fantasy and Super hero play being so controversial within teaching circles I expected this book to be a lot more helpful/ideas filled. It was mainly small stories about super hero play. Not really worth it in my view.

Fantasy Play is amazing!
I really enjoyed this book because it allowed for super hero play which is often frowned on in early education classrooms. Children are allowed to express themselves thru play and their imaginiations can run wild. This book did a great job of showing the reader just how children use their imagininations in play and just how quick the theme can change. This is a great book for anyone who is in the early childhood education field. It makes an easy read and it is truely a great book!!

One of my all time favorites by Paley
Vivian Paley is a master at decribing young children's capacity for story telling. Her books are worth twice the price, and extremely readable, informative and thought provoking.
