Used it to cut twenty 20’ rods down to 5’ and worked great very quickly yes I probably could have done it faster with bolt cutters but I didn’t have to work up a sweat or hurt my back doing it. Worth every penny have much more to do so we will see how it holds up

After decades of cutting rebar by hand (giant bolt-cutter) this is a pleasure. Sure, it's loud and sure, it's a little slow, but pushing a button is a lot easier than wrestling the handles of the giant bolt-cutter. I used this cutter to cut heavy chain and it got bound up every third cut while in the cutting position. I had to use a grinding wheel to release the pressure so the cutter would retract. So I'd stick to rebar with this one.

I bought this by mistake but someday I may have the need to use it to cut rebar or something else. Too lazy to return it. It very heavy for me but for someone stronger than me, you can handle the weight.

I have cut over 300 pieces of 5/8" rebar with this tool and it has more than paid for itself in time saved! It comes with an extra set of blades, but I haven't needed to change them yet. It also comes filled with hydraulic oil and comes in a nice metal case. I rarely write reviews, but I am thrilled with the performance and value of this cutter.

Case came damaged because this is a very heavy item and they didn't put any type of padding in the flimsy cardboard box they shipped it in. But the case is really just a box with no contours to hold this beast in place so it's useless anyway. It also doesn't come with the hydraulic oil you'll need to operate it so you might as well buy some at the same time as you order this. Other wise it works great so far but it is very heavy so the term "portable" rebar cutter is up for debate.

We build a backyard hockey rink every year and needed 400 18 inch long stakes. Buying pre-cut steaks is ridiculously expensive so I bought 20 foot sticks of rebar and this machine cut through every piece like butter, down to the last one! I know the blades will still go for many more cuts! Well worth it. I’ve never had an experience of cutting rebar where it is quiet, dust free, and so easy to do!

This works great...way better than our manual hand-held cutter, but it is rather on the heavy side. We've placed it on top of a cart for easier transport. We use to cut 25m steel wire coils in a manufacturing company. I would buy again if needed a second one.

The brushes on this cutter went out quickly. I’ve had a terrible time getting the seller to respond or finding new brushes for it. Machine will work good at first but the brushes go out very quickly.! Beware. If the seller will respond and make this right, I will leave a better review.
