Installed this on my cruiser to get my kid back and forth to school. Child's weight about 45 pounds. Installation was easy, no special tools required. Product looks pretty flimsy but held up to frequent bike rides throughout spring, summer, and fall of 2019. Still using it this spring, 2020, though child is now over 50 pounds and exceeds the safety rating of the rack to which the seat is attached. Seat is essentially a flimsy seeming piece of rigid plastic with foam cushion covered by vinyl. A little sticky on hot days, recommend long pants as very uncomfortable on bare skin. Not a comfortable seat for rides longer than about 30 minutes. We did a longer, 1 hour ride, with the seat and my child was pretty unhappy towards the end. Well worth the $16 I paid. Significantly better option for us than anything else as we were still able to put the bike on a bus rack and extend our range. It's not a particularly well made product but it gets the job done. Nothing for feet to rest on, nothing for back. Basically just a cushion that you can screw to a bike rack you already own. —— Added 7/2021 My daughter finally got too heavy for us to use this device. I wasn’t strong enough to peddle her around. We really appreciated it and it was exactly what we needed. I’m sad she’s gotten too big. We loved these bike rides together.

Put on the back of my beach cruiser type bike - with the permanent cargo rack. Perfect for riding to the bus stop to pick up my little one. So far it is holding up good, and makes traveling the distance quick work.

This review is for the original version without backrest etc. This needs four additional nuts to keep the supplied ones from falling off. They really should be included but are not unfortunately. Structure of the seat is plastic. It will do the job for a while anyway. All that said, about 10 minutes of riding around with my daughter on the back got her over her fear and out riding her own bike so I would call that a win.

This is a lot cheaper than the Lectric XP buddy seat and I love that the pedals fold. The factory hardware will wiggle lose very quickly, so you can use a non-permanent thread locker or do what I did and add washers and lock washers, OR lock nuts. Very easy cheap upgrade to prevent it from wiggling loose. Despite how thin the seat is my wife is pretty comfortable even on an hour ride. The folding foot pegs are why I went with this and required some dremel work to the holes to fit correctly on the bike. After probably 3 hours and 50 miles the pedals are bending a little away from the frame, even though my wife is only 115lbs. I’m going to add bolts to the top holes to anchor them to the frame. If you manage your expectations and don’t expect great quality I don’t it’s a bad value.

This did not fit my bike well. The handle was much too low and hard for my kid to hold onto. No instructions for pedals so could get them on. Missed the return winds otherwise would have returned.

I bought this seat to use on the back of a cargo bike for my kid to sit on. It looked good enough in the photos and reviews were favorable. When I got it, though, I was disappointed. The plastic base it sits on is thin cheap plastic. It feels a lot like the lids that come on things like sour cream or butter containers. It's flexible which is nice, but I fear it'll crack and fail within a few rides. The cover is also really cheap. It's a think vinyl and easily intended if you push your finger into it. This could be a really nice seat but the materials would need to be better. But since I had it, I used it. I mounted mine on a pair of steel straps and attached those to wooden blocks. The straps support the seat but also allow a little movement which helps with comfort. I hope the straps will support it well enough to keep the plastic from cracking. If you can find another seat that you think will fit your needs, maybe buy it instead.

My kid loves it. The handles just make it perfect to ride.

I put this on the back of my e-bike to take my son to and from school. Super easy to install. The cushion feels sturdy and soft, and it fits great on the rear rack.
