Before I purchased this product I read all the reviews about it blowing car fuses...... so I wanted to clear this up....this kettle has 2 heat ranges.....a low and a high. Since cigarette lighting are rarely used in cars these day....12V outlets are used more for car electron and thus have a lower amperage rating.I'm using this product in my 2018 Audi on the low setting and am happy with it. Keep in mind it heats water only. The real trick to warming up water quickly is to only use the amount of water you need. The kettle holds just short of 12oz of water. Most instant coffee products require between 5-8 oz of water, cup o noodles 6.5 oz. So if you want the water to heat up quickly only use the amount fo water you need.One improvement I would like to see in the product are internal pour lines in 2oz increments.12oz of water take about 22 minutes to get to 95C. So anything that requires boiling that's the time it takes.A steaming cup of instant coffee or tea is 75C......8 oz of water that's about 12 minutes to get there.Overall the price I have paid for this product was quickly recovered because I am nit buying gas station coffee at $2.50 per cup or Starbucks at $6/cup. Grocery stores offer a wide range of product you can individually bag up to keep the budget downHK

Works great we had hot water in 10 minutes

Overall I like it. this is what I need during winter time, where I drive a lot. Pretty fast to reach higher temperature. I only need warm water most of the time, and it only takes less than 10 min to reach 43F. The only thing I don't like is the set temperature. It doesn't stop at the set temperature, it keep go up pass the set temperature. Other than that , it looks great with rubber wrap around the body, and also the digital window is nice.

I warm up water in this on car trips to make a warm formula bottle (to clarify I don't put the formula powder in it ever) and it goes to body temp in like 3 min. It takes a pretty long time to boil (10 min) but if you're on the road and time isn't an issue it's awesome and fits nicely in a car cup holder!

I left water in it, plan was to heat it the next morning.It leaked during the night, the cup holder it was sitting in was full of water the next morning.So instead of having an easy morning, I ended up with a mess to clean first thing.Also, it would never shut itself off at the pre-selected temp. I had to keep an eye on it and unplug it when it reached the temp I wanted.

The moment we put water in this it leaked water all over the car. Will not hold any liquid.There has been no resolution to this issue. It’s been 1 1/2 months

As I traveled across the country I was able to make hot tea whenever I wanted!

Super convenient for my 6 months old daughter feeding time; we dont need to ask for hot water everytime in need anymore! We boil water while driving and it is spill free zero issue! 15min to ready!
