The colors in the mix are great and these fit snugly on the connector. Some of the cheaper boots want to fall off the plug, these fit tight enough to not do that.

I hate it when I pull back an ethernet cable and it breaks the catch tab off of the connector! These should be required by law to exist on ethernet cable ends.

Strain relief on Ethernet cables under-appreciated… I wish everyone used these little guys.They do their job well, they're pretty inexpensive, and multiple colors mean its easy to keep track of which cables go where even if your insulation is all the same color, and who carries around multiple spools of cat6 with different color insulation?They do stay on all the connectors I've tried (I've haven't had any come loose unintentionally), but if you're paranoid about them coming loose a dab or two of super glue should allay your concerns.Unlike a lot of strain-relief boots these work with the cheap connectors you find at Home Depot, Fry's, or pretty much any hardware/electronics store.My biggest problem with these is remembering to put them on, but it's hard to fault the boots for that! I sometimes forget to slip these on before crimping the connector, and I've had to pull off the connector before crimping (but after I've already prepared and sorted the wires) in order to add one of these more times than I'd care to admit.The only real downside of these is that if the cables are being pulled in the direction of the tab on the RJ45 the boots can push the tab down and end up releasing the cable. Personally, I feel like that means there is too much strain on the cable anyways and you should fix that instead of blaming the boots, but it's definitely worth keeping an eye out for.

I color-coded my network cables based on one color per room. This was the only company that sold colored RJ45 connectors. The color-coded connectors make it easy to find which cable belongs to which room besides just having a label on the cable. The cable connectors were very inexpensive and offered much value. They were not easy at going over a CAT 6A cable, so just a heads up. You can get it done, but your fingers will be numb. Overall, I highly recommend these color-coded boot connectors.

Great little gadget when you make your own cables and need to keep track which line is what.

The boots are compliant enough for me to squeeze the clip and fit securely around my home made network cables.Keep in mind the gauge of your network cable as thinner/higher gauge cables will cause the boots to slide back and forth more easily.
