Dr. Cool Instant Chill Lightweight Sports and Fitness Cooling Towel, 15" x 36"

I have PVA cooling towels that become hard when they dry, plus start stinking even when wearing them. This towel stays the same shape when dry and is very stretchy and soft. The towel is black on both sides with air holes on one side and has their dr.cool logo on it. It comes in a plastic container you can keep it in.I live in the southern NV desert and it's summer. The cold tap water comes out warm or hot but after a few seconds the towel is cool around my neck. The instructions on the towel are to wet it and then snap it; you don't really need to snap it because it cools down right away anyway. My hubby and I wear these towels when we go outside and it really helps cool us off; I can't say it's 30% cooler but it helps. I'm a person who's generally warm, so that's saying something.I would definitely recommend this type of cooling towel over the PVA type that I've had in the past.{Sample provided for review}

I ordered this after seeing this product being sold at a sporting event, but bought it on Amazon because it was cheaper. The reason I bought it was because I live with a condition where I can't swear and thus I overheat easily. Overall, I feel like the product does what it advertises - it keeps you cool and cools feels cool again by "snapping" it as described in the instructions. How long it stays cool and you having to repeat that process depends on how hot it is, though. On days when it's 95+, I tend to not ring it out completely because the small excess dripping water feel refreshing. Lastly, I must also say that when I first used it, I was surprised how much cooler it was than I expected. I'm happy with it.

First test of one of these and it worked out well. Certainly does take the edge off the when you're busting in the sun! Don't know if others are better though cause this is the only one I've tried.

I love this towel. As someone who has recently discovered what hot flashes feel like this towel is a lifesaver. I can wet it and stick it around my neck to instantly cool me down and it stays cool for a remarkable amount of time. It's large size ensures that you can cool whatever part of the body you need to. Would also work well for people who are fevered or have been in the heat for too long. I think every menopausal woman should have one of these.

I hate to be hot so summers in Indiana are pretty unpleasant for me. I had never tried a cooling towel until I was offered one in exchange for my review but when it was offered to me I figured why not try it? I mean, anything that can help keep me cool in the 90+ heat/high humidity is a good thing!At first I was surprised by the shape of the towel--I expected it to be wider, but it makes a lot of sense that it's shaped the way it is. It's easy to put around the back of my neck without creating a lot of bulk and it's also easy to use to wipe my face, arms, and legs if I need to. The towel is lightweight so it's easy to carry around. It can be stored in the container it comes in or just tucked into a backpack so it's always easily accessible. On a purely aesthetic level, it's attractive and feels nice to the touch. It appears to be well-made and I think it will provide a lot of cooling power for me during the hot months of the year.I was skeptical about the cooling effect but it really does work. If you appreciate a little cool down when you're hot, this is a good product to have handy.

While some people might want to carry something like this on a run, I don't run, and my runner wife doesn't like to carry stuff. That said, we tried it out:1. Wet it.2. Wring it out.3. Wave it around to 'activate' it.It seemed very cool and refreshing. Ostensibly, waving it around again 'recharges' the cool.I think this would be a great addition to my hiking pack next time I head out to the desert. ...Something I do a few times a year. First, Kansas summers are hot. Super hot. Triple digit before heat index hot. My tweens have a 2.2 mile (one way) walk home from school to home. The first weeks of school were brutal. That first day I don't think I've heard as much whining and complaining... (If I could have driven them, I would but work called and I couldn't get anyone to cover my patients.)They were the first to try it. I sent them to school with the towel and explained how to work it.It was super easy for my 11 and 13 year olds to figure it out. It was still hot out but they were much cooler walking home.For me, a cooling towel is ideal for baby wearing. It helps keep mom and baby cool, which means summer doesn't mean that the closeness has to end when the temperatures rise.I would definitely buy several of these for the whole family to use.The opinion expressed is my own and any discounts for the product has no bearing on my review.
