I bought this set for my son so that would be introduced to Mandarin and Chinese characters. My husband and I both lived in China for a couple of years and studied Chinese, but we are not native speakers. It was important to us that our children begin to learn other languages outside of English. It's difficult to find bilingual Chinese board books like these, so I'm so happy they exist!! The illustrations are cute and colorful and it is great practice to learn these fun and simple words. We've been reading these since he was a couple months old and now he is 18 months and loves to grab them and "read" them by himself. They are the perfect size for independent reading. Even though the Grandparents can't speak Mandarin, they like to read the English to him, so everyone can still enjoy reading and bonding time!I hope the author continues to come out with even more board book sets with more words to learn! I love these and so does our son!

As an English-speaking mom of a Chinese and American baby, these books are not only great for supporting his language development in both languages but also for practicing my Mandarin. At first I was surprised by the size of the books, then I realized how great they are for just tossing in the diaper bag and reading on the go. These are great little books, please make more!

Great books! My 6month old enjoys looking and chewing on them. I only wish the pronunciation guide was a little better because I'm sure I'm not pronouncing things correct.

Board books are smaller than I expect but the pictures, colors and ease of reading are perfect. They even have a YouTube channel with songs and videos for kids.

My daughter loves these! They're small enough to bring in her diaper bag, easy for her to hold by herself, and the bright colors are fun! She gravitates towards them even when other books are around.

My mom is Chinese and I was born in America. I never learned Chinese, but I would like to learn alongside my 18 month old daughter. These are perfect for starting to build vocabulary without it being too overwhelming. My daughter requests I read these to her before her naps! Some of the pictures of the animals are too stylised for my liking (I prefer pictures be more lifelike for my daughter who is just learning animals) but that might be just me.

Baby loved it from age 4 months all the way until age 26 months. You will be amazed how going through this book and how much baby retains even if you don't hear them respond. They're sponges and this book is perfect to get them started
