On My Desk Folding LED Rechargeable Lamp, 10.5", White

This LED lamp is not as good as my other one (no longer available). This one does not have variable light settings and it has to be charged much more frequently. It's a clumsy size and takes too much space on my nightstand. I don't recommend it.

This rechargeable and portable "On My Desk" LED lamp has a clean and modern look, but it's simple and nothing fancy. The base is thick and weighted nicely, so it's quite steady placed on any flat surface (including my carpeted floor) and the arm and lampshade stay in place as positioned. The lamp rotates into multiple positions and even folds to a compact size that I can carry in my tote bag or backpack. The fact that this lamp is cordless and weighs less than a pound makes it a handy lamp to use whenever light is needed but no wall outlet or USB port is available.The rechargeable lithium battery charges via a USB cable. I've charged and drained it a couple times, and it takes about 1.5 hours to fully charge when plugged into a regular wall charger. The light turns from red to green (not orange as stated in the enclosure) when fully charged. The cordless feature of the lamp is what piqued my interest, although I think its use as a portable lamp is limited by its relatively short battery life. The fully charged battery is giving me only about 3 hours use with the lamp on the brightest setting (then it becomes too dim to be useful), though I assume a charge will last longer on a dimmer setting. I like that the lights don't generate any heat so far. I've looked but can't find any info on whether the LED lights are replaceable, or anything about the projected life of the LED lights.This lamp has already come in handy for extra light while paying bills sitting at the dinner table, reading in the evening, and playing a board game on the floor with the family. I selected this lamp thinking it would be great for travel and camping too, but now I'm not sure given the limited length of time it holds a charge (unless, of course, there's access to a charging source). The best use of this lamp may be as a desk lamp plugged into a computer USB port for those who don't have a wall outlet available for a corded lamp, with the portability being more of a bonus feature. It could be perfect for small spaces like a dorm room or an RV, especially since it can be wall mounted so it doesn't even have to rest on a desk or table.I do have a wall outlet by my desk and have an LED desk lamp (costs about $10 more) that's more stylish and produces better lighting, so I wouldn't chose this "On My Desk" lamp as my primary desk lighting. But it would suffice if I didn't have a wall outlet, and I do like it as a portable light even though the battery wears down faster than I hoped because there are still times when a few hours is sufficient. The LED lighting is comfortable for my eyes as it's more diffused and natural feeling compared to many lamps I've used that are like spotlights and produce a bright, concentrated light that doesn't agree with me. I also like that the lampshade rotates 90 degrees, and the lamp base has a metal strip that's a sensor touch dimmer to adjust the brightness, plus I haven't noticed any flickering using the dimmer. Overall, I'm reasonably satisfied with this rechargeable lamp. I rate it 3.5 stars (rounded to 4 stars).

This LED rechargeable light is so handy to have for many things around the house.It comes with a USB-A charging cable that I can use to charge it in our USB AC wall plug or my computer if I prefer.Right out of the box it should be fully charged before using it.I find that it actually stays lit for a long time though not nearly as bright obviously by the end however we had ours lit one night for over 6 hours. The one photo I have you can see it lit up and this was after being left on for hours.I have not had any issues with the light portion falling out during use.We use ours all the time. I keep it at the charging station near the printer when not in use.That way it is ready to go anytime one of the kids or myself needs to use it.You can adjust the angle of the light in many ways as you need it. Can even be wall mounted if you prefer.We like it for those times when someone is trying to read but don't want to have the full room light on bothering others in the room who might be watching tv.I also like using it for late nights when kids are trying to sleep and I don't want to wake them up with lights.I can just use this one to read my book and not have to worry that they will wake up.It is so portable that I can put it in my suitcase to bring with me on trips. It is so nice having this in the hotel with me.That is one place where I never seem to have enough light to read by without disturbing the entire room.You can dim the light by just swiping on the metal strip under the brand name on it.Sleek slim portable designed light that holds a charge for a good long time.
