Seriously, works great for my anti cat defense system that I was forced to employ.See, I have this ham 'shack' that is in a room my furry cat friend likes to visit. She has habitof jumping on desk and managing to find the PC keyboard to stomp on or place her somewhat plump (we are working on that as she was adopted as adult cat and is overly plump, imo) rear end on keyboard.Well, needless to say this is intolerable condition. So rather than be forced to manuallyunplug the USB keyboard from the hub I use I searched for a answer and discovered this devicehere on the Amazon.It works fine for the purpose. I merely reach over and hit the button (which stays lit on the device on or off) and toggle the little fob like thing to kill power to keyboard. Instant safety for when furrballshows up on the desk or appears to be threatening to do so.The cat seems to have learned in the past weeks of her adoption that her new owner becomesupset when near the keyboard and she seems to now intentionally NOT stomp on the keys.However I'm still working on the bit where she sits in front of the nearby monitor thereby blocking my view.I"ve not found XRAY glasses or a mirror system to get around that issue, so am just putting upwith grumbling.I have no idea if this device works fine for other purposes or devices (like data transfer). Not tested.

I drive a 2023 Kia EV6. For whatever reason a brand new $60k vehicle doesn't include wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. I resolved that issue with a wireless Android Auto adapter. Then another quirk presented itself. The USB port that you have to use for Android Auto/CarPlay is always on... It's really annoying when your phone keeps trying to connect to your car parked in the garage when you're nearby...In comes the Onvian USB Power Switch. I plugged this little bad boy into the Android Auto USB port, plugged my wireless Android Auto adapter into it and attached the switch to the bottom of the center console with a small piece of velcro. Now I can just press the button on the Onvian USB Power Switch when I get in and out of my car without having to unplug the wireless Android Auto adapter

Purchased so I could turn my USB ports off in my car while using an Apple Car Play adapter. Since Jeep and many others have ports on all of the time, the adapter would get very hot when the car was parked outside in the summer heat. This switch allows me to turn the adapter on and off only while in use and is doing exactly what I wanted.

Kept one and gave one to a friend

If you have the need to disconnect and reconnect usb devices a lot then this can be a nice thing to have. The on/off button allows me to easily switch between my usb headset and my headphones connected to the audio port. Nice touch having a lighted button also.

This is an affordable fix to a problem I was having with my Steel Series Arctis 7 (wireless gaming headset for pc).The Arctis 7 was causing Kodi to change my default audio settings to the headset. This means I would have to change Kodi back to WASAPI every time I wanted to hear my movies in surround on my receiver. This little switcher device allows me to shut off electricity and data to the headset at any time with a simple press of a button. The only caveat is having to remember to turn the switch off (when not using my headset). The little blue light on the switch helps to remind me to do so. The switch is a much better option than pulling the usb of the Steel Series Wireless Transmitter every time the headset was not in use or disabling it in Windows. The switch cuts both data and power.

What is there to say about this type of thing on Amazon? I mean they want a full review but it's kind of hard to a full review on something that just turn something on and off. It's pretty freaking simple so it does what it says it does and I like how it does what it says it does and it has an LED. Everything has an LED. Thank you for reading. Have a nice day

For my use case (adapting an old samsung phone with a desktop style interface when connected to a display) into a long battery life rugged portable computer, these have been a dream come true.I use them to turn on an off power to the powered hdmi - usb c converter (one of the biggest battery draws) and power to the usb hub. These have done wonders on my project, and the light on them makes it clear when they are on at a glanceAlso note for anyone using DEX on a samsung phone, then yes turning on and off power to the HDMI adapter does cause the phone to open up in dex (but locked easy enough to open) after about 10 seconds or so
