Big Bore cylinder assembly from NWP. Big Bore cylinder kits come with an oversized cylinder and piston (2mm), which will give your chainsaw increased displacement as compared to the stock cylinder. Cylinder assembly includes an oversized piston, rings, piston pin, circlips and cylinder. Cylinder bore is NiSi coated for long life. These pistons have a thin coat of molybdenum, which helps reduce friction and wear during the initial break in period. Piston rings are made from ductile cast iron, so your chances of breaking them during installation are greatly reduced. Great value/ great product here!
Installed flawlessly. Only had one issue in that the holes that run through the jug cooling fins is undersized compared to the OEM and my torxs bit would not fit. I had to drill out. Otherwise, everything assembled very well. I will report back after we get some run hours on the saw. Fix the holes and it gets a 5 star from me.

Big Bore piston and cylinder kit for Stihl 044
The big bore cylinder assembly came on time, was really easy to put in, retained excellent compression and fired up after two pulls on a saw that had been sitting untouched for roughly two years. I'd recommend this product to other people interested in adding a little extra power to their Stihl 044.
