Works, just follow the directions to a "T"
Worked great for my ghost flatworm outbreak. I think I had some eggs come in on a zoa frag. I dipped it, but the eggs survived. My tank was overrun with flatworms. I added a Springer's damsel, but he could just make a small dent in them population. I tried this stuff, followed the directions to a "T" and had no issues. My corals were pretty mad for a day or so, but everything pulled through just fine. Don't be scared to use it, just have some saltwater on hand for a big water change and a bunch of activated carbon and you are good.

FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!
The instructions clearly warn the hobbyist of the risks associated with a mass die off of toxic flatworms. And I feel really sorry for those who've lost any livestock. If you have a massive flatworm infestation, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS and siphon off every worm you can before you treat.I didn't know how big my infestation was, but it turned out to be pretty small. What I WAS delighted to discover is that this solution was absolutely toxic to a mild infestation of zoa-eating nudibranchs. They and the flat worms went nuts within minutes, and started dying off. After 50'sh minutes, I had a carbon filter running in the tank. On the following day, all my corals, crabs, brittle starfish, and cleaner shrimp are perfectly fine, as shown in the photo. My skimmer didn't go nuts from the die-off, either.Happy reefing!

Effective & Safe
I had a problem with the rust colored reef flatworms. I had tried siphoning them out, starving them, and even dipping all the coral and rocks. They wouldn't budge, and if they did they came back even stronger. After using Flatworm Exit, I've definitely got another tool to try to fight them off. The first dose was definitely effective in killing them. However, I followed the instructions, and as soon as I saw flatworms dying I put carbon back in the tank. The flatworms almost instantly stopped dying, and I was left with a few dozen flatworms still alive, along with all the eggs. I dosed again a week later to try to kill the remaining adults and the hatchling, but the flatworms were barely phased at all. I did the second 50% dose the instructions say you can add, but it was to no avail. The corals and fish were entirely uneffected by the product, and since I was sure to add plenty of carbon they were also uneffected by any toxins released by the flatworms. I don't know why the treatment was uneffective the second time around, but I will definitely be trying again.

Does what it says, but do not underestimate how toxic the dead worms are.
A cautionary tale. This product does precisely what it promises. And flatworms are toxic when the die. I followed the instructions but underestimated the amount of worms on my rocks. I lost some fish. If you are in doubt, I would recommend pulling the rock and treating them separately in another bucket so that you can quickly get rid of the flatworms. I put the medicine in the tank and it was like a red dotted snow globe. If I ever have to do it again, I will pull the rocks, treat them first. Treat the sump next and finally sand vacuum and clean the display tank. On the plus side it killed every flatworm but did not directly harm anything else in the tank. Just be careful. I lost some fish. And don't think that the skimmer and activated carbon will save you. The skimmer did an amazing job but could not get rid of enough before they affected the tank occupants. Activiated carbon helped but did not save everyone.

No effect on flatworms whatsoever
I tried using the Flatworm Exit to treat flatworm infestation in a 40-gallon freshwater aquarium with cichlids, tetras, and pleco fish. Following the instructions, I first siphoned off as many flatworms as possible, turned off the filters, added 4 drops per gallon, and monitored the aquarium closely. There was no visible effect on plants, fish, or flatworms throughout the day. Long story short, over the next couple of days, I increased the dosage in the aquarium up to 4 -times, again seeing no effect at all. Separately, I treated about 30 flatworms in a glass with 200ml water with five drops of the Flatworm Exit. Although this corresponds to more than 100 times higher concentration than recommended, the flatworms remained alive and showed no distress for more than a day. See the attached photo. Based on what I see, this product is completely inactive and useless to treat flatworms (planaria) in freshwater aquarium.

Works with some caveats
So the flatwork exit works as stated. It killed all my flatworms. However be very careful when using it. I followed the dosage on the bottle and ended up killing all of my brittle stars a long with some of my bristleworms which was unexpected. Because of this and the dying flatworms the water in my aquarium became really toxic to my sensitive corals and ended up killing the majority of my torches. It also made my skimmer go crazy for over a week. So yes the stuff works but I'd be pretty hesitant to use it again as I lost a lot if coral that were very expensive
