Extremely useful for planning
This is a great book. Most of the info is probably available online but what I like is that this book brings it all together in a relatively compact and easy designed package. Each route is covered over 3 pages with start point info, route guide and map. It's concise and straight to the point, no waffle or verbose descriptions. What's great is all routes are downloadable gpx routes so I have them all sync'd to my watch. It's also great that only 3 of the 214 peaks are repeated which means it's a very efficient way to tick off all the peaks. Have completed 4 routes so far and intend to complete within a year. This book has helped me with my planning

A valuable resource for anyone planning longer day-walks or multi-day projects
I'm a relatively recent incomer to the Lakes and still getting to know the more remote corners. One of the challenges of planning walks here is the sheer complexity of the topography - it takes a lot of poring over maps to figure out longer circular routes. It's also quite tricky to include the more outlying fells into full-day walks if you want to explore the whole area.Without a detailed personal knowledge of the ground it's easy to miss interesting options. The book is based on the most efficient route for a continuous round. The sections have been broken up into 45 longish day-walks or medium-length fell runs. So if you are dedicated fell bagger you are in safe hands. But it's also useful for anyone planning longer circular day routes, and they can be easily strung together for very challenging day-walks or for multi-day ventures. Even as a local, it's given me lots of new ideas.Just be aware that the routes are designed for efficiency and aren't always the most scenic - nor does it attempt to cover wider topics like local geology or history. So it shouldn't be your only resource. As others have pointed out, it's very well executed with excellent mapping and particularly useful info on timings for walkers and runners of different capacities. For anyone who wants to explore the Lakes in depth, this is a must-have resource.

Good descriptions, routes and photos
Just received the book, looks pretty good, averaging around 11/12 miles a route. The information is good as are the photography. The GPX files are downloaded from a website, the OS version misses waypoints and I have found even loading into OutdoorActive that most of the routes are not or at least have parts off the main paths or tracks, for example, Troutbeck route, from Troutbeck park you need to wade through little to no path in bracken, then cross the road to the path which is not a path, it is private land to access Wansfell, I have checked Google earth to double check and no path/track links in this way.Anyway, apart from the dodgy GPX files, the book is great.

Outstandingly useful and trustworthy.
Very thoughtful structuring, easy to find what you are looking for and very professional guidelines for each day’s plan. Takes all of the hard work out of planning Wainwright -bagging expeditions.

Wainwrights
A very handy book with 65 walks to bag all the Wainwrights and a QR code to download all the routes to your map system you use (I use OS Maps which it works fine with).
