Sunsect Insect Repellent + Sunscreen 4 oz Tube (2 pack)

I wanted to wait until I returned from vacation to give a review, so here goes. I went to Barbados for 5 days and naturally I was concerned about the sun and mosquito/zika problem. After searching the internet for a sunscreen and bug repellent duo, I chose sunsect because of the positive reviews and also the ease of only having to apply one thing as opposed to sunscreen and insect repellent separately. I know I'm the type to fall off if I have to apply multiple things, so I chose this. All I can say is this stuff works! I didn't get bitten once. Maybe because I was diligent with my application, but the stuff works. Every morning before activities, mid day, and night before dinner, I applied sunsect and this kept the bugs away. I have to mention, the mosquitos were very agressive on the beach, but once they got close, they went the other way. The other 3 girls I traveled with didn't fair so well. Not only did 2 get horrible sunburns, but one was bitten by something. Not sure if it was a mosquito, but her skin swelled horribly. Unlike other reviewers mentioned, there is no foul odor. It's a very faint scent, and not offensive. It disappears rather quickly once the lotion is rubbed in. I only took one tube with me, and I had maybe 3 or 4 more days of additional application left from what I can feel in the tube. I will definitely order sunsect again and recommend to others.

I just got back from a 3 week trip to Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia, and I can vouch first hand that this stuff really works. Although I saw several mosquitos, I did not get one bite on the entire trip. The combination of using Sunsect on my arms, legs, feet and neck area along with spraying my clothes before I went with Permetheryn worked great. The Sunsect has a mild scent, but it quickly dissipated after a few minutes. The sunscreen SPF is only 15, but I rarely reapplied and was outside all day, so it was enough to prevent sunburn. I did not put the Sunsect on my face, used my regular Neutragena sunscreen on my face. I did not have any irritations or allergic reactions to it at all. I have only one complaint with Sunsect, and it is not major, but after sitting for a few hours, the different elements in the tube separate, and if you don't shake it well before opening, you will get a squirt of clear liquid in your hand rather than the white creamy lotion. Just be sure to shake well before opening every time you use it!! Seems like this wouldn't be too hard to fix to get the different elements to stay suspended together. Just an annoyance, not a big issue. I will continue to use Sunsect at home when working in the yard, gardening, etc. now that I know it works so well.

Purchased this for a Caribbean vacation February 2016. The combination of sunscreen and insect repellent is genius! The fragrance is mild, not a strong bug spray scent, but not a typical coconut oil either. The SPF 15 was very effective, actually worked as well as other 30 SPFs we tried. It is a thick, white cream that takes longer than usual to soak in and disappear. I wish it came in larger tubes, two of us used up one tube in 6 days. I'm purchasing more.

This stuff goes on smooth, but honestly feels like vaseline on the skin. Super tacky, even after rubbing in well. I didn't feel like this kept the bugs off because I used it mostly while mowing the grass, when the bugs get stirred up. The gnats and biting flies were still all over me. Wish I had paid more attention to the return date, as now it's passed and I'm stuck with a product I'll never use again.

Bought this for a week long vacation to the Caribbean and the threat of Zika virus. Many others I met at the resort complained about mosquito bites but I wasn’t one of them. I also did not complain about sunburn. My only complaint is a minor one. Because the product contains deet, you always had to wash it all off before going to bed. Otherwise, it worked great for me and I love this product.

Perhaps this concept that separate bug spray and sunblock do not work well together and that this formula is designed to work synergistically is true!I have used this for two months now walking my dog in the park and have not gotten bit once. In fact one day when I was not wearing it and did not intend to go to the park but wound up there, I got bit twice.

I didn’t get bitten while wearing this product. I did get one hell of a sunburn. My fault, I didn’t check the SPF rating. I wish they made it in SPF 50 or 100 for fair skinned people. I bought two tubes which I guess I will use as big dope at night since during the day they are useless to me for sunscreen

It’s everything it says to be and more. I usually buy a similar one from Avon, but I needed this ASAP so I tried this one out. It’s perfect. It’s not sticky or greasy, it has the consistency of paste and smells like it too. But, it works! It repels the bugs. I went on a treacherous hike while in Hawaii. I reapplied this once after I got in the water and I walked away with one bite, and only because my clothes had rubbed the sunscreen off. Even though this is only 15 spf it does the job well.
