Q: what kind of metal is the locket‽

It's a nickel base metal with a silver plating.

Q: What size would a picture have to be to fit inside the locket?

I'm not sure the size, but if you have your own photo printer, and photo shop(or know someone who does)it can be done. I printed a picture for a charm on a Pandora bracelet, and that was the tiniest photo I've ever seen...smaller than this. My husband had to cut it out with one of his modeling scalpels. Even though it was tiny, it could still be seen, so it's worth it if you know how to do it. Just be prepared to print a a few before you get the right size.

Q: Would this locket hold a pill? I need to carry emergency nitro tabs but would like to wear it in something prettier than those big pill pendants.

This would only hold the tiniest of pills. However, if memory serves, nitro tabs are really small. I think it could work, but please bear in mind that I haven't actually tried it myself.

Q: How do you put pictures in and have it stay in? Glue?

That is really the only way. You will also need tiny picture. We didn't fill it. She still wears it and gets compliments.
