X-Men: Days of Future Past Prose Novel

I had read the original comic version of this story years ago and found the original disjointed and somewhat hard to follow. However,this novel brings into clarity the best parts of the original. It stayed true to the original but was more effective at setting the scene and horror of the situation that the X-Men faced in both the present and future. The only part I had issues with were the images interspersed through the last half. I don't know if it was the kindle format but the images were of things that occurred in previous chapters.

Very well written. Grew up a Marvel fan in the 60's, and read everything they put out in X-Men. This seems to in line with what was gospel back then. May have been a few differences, but on the whole a great story line. The present day Marvel movies on the whole have my vote as well. Even when there had to be some changes, even those were well thot out. Sgt Fury, Col. Fury, as an example. Jackson plays a great Fury as well.

This is a classic x-men tale and now it's in novel form we have a chance to really get into the ins and the outs of the future that the x-men face in the camps. We see what happens when there is a last dish effort to stop the sentinels...we see them older and very tired from the horrors they have faced. However at the same time we see the present day showing the start of Storms leadership and her sheer power and beauty in leading her team. This is a fantastic read and in many ways mirrors soo many things going on today..

I've read x-men comics for years and own the days of future past graphic novel. I found this book to be a great additon to the story. Better back round and, well more story. Would recommend to anyone who like the x-men and action novels.

A few things in the book were updated from the comics that took the timeline down a rather different road. In some ways I'd almost say the author wrote up the story as if it were told from say a different future to a past world that was NOT Earth-616. Still a good story, but take it with a grain of salt for what happens as your read it.

I noticed that there had been Zero reviews for this and so I thought I'd go ahead and let others know how I felt.I literally just finished this book not even 3 minutes ago. I've been glued to it since I got it. It's a pretty quick and fast read. But very engaging. I very very much enjoyed this prose novel! Just a warning for those who have seen the movie and might think this is related. They bare the same title and have the same basic plot. But this is not based on the movie. It's based on the comic book version. Which was equally as great! This was great because it gave more insight to what the characters where thinking and feeling. Reading about some deaths just crushed my heart and I felt the pain. I bought the rest of the newer marvel prose novels in hopes they are just as good as this! I'm not sure which to start next. I also own a lot of the older marvel novels and have read a few of those.You won't be disappointed with this and I highly recommend buying it! I loved the movie, the comic and now this!! The only downside to this is that it couldn't keep going. As In I didn't want it to stop. I have read that the author is possibly doing another based on age of apocalypse! I really hope so!!! Enjoy!!!

love the story it was just a quick read

The author turned two comics into a great story! I was impressed and enjoyed reading it. I wish they made more prose novels on the Xmen.

Io pensavo che fosse un fumetto ed invece è un libro che racconta la storia del fumetto! Non solo non mi è arrivato un fumetto ma un libro ma addirittura il libro non serve a nulla, non ce n'era il bisogno di farlo! "Giorni di un Futuro Passato" era un fumetto bellissimo proprio perchè era un fumetto! Non ha per nulla senso farci un libro! Vi consiglio invece di guardare il film di Bryan Singer che è un perfetto capolavoro ed è addirittura superiore all'opera originale!

I have to say I really enjoyed this book. I saw the movie first and saw this had come out, so I wanted to see what the original material was like. The movie and the book at polar opposites of each other but I enjoyed both versions. Definitely worth picking up!

Very entertaining!!!! The story is different from the movie.
