I have to post the one star as I had a great clear looking pool then immediately and for several days after adding this product my pool was so cloudy. I could see the cloud creating as the granules dissolved in the water. I've never had to premix outside the pool with any other product. Don't know why/how this is happening when everyone else is 5 stars. I had to shock with a different product to eventually get the pool clear again.

The perfect size if you are constantly "adjusting" your pool's ph up and down. A 2 lb. canister in the stores or pool supply places costs at least $10. This saves a lot of money and is especially handy for your start of pool season adjustment after an off-season where your pool turns into a pond. It was shipped on time and in one piece.

I can hear some of these and others not. I'm not sure if they are really working, but I haven't had a mouse problem either.

I was particularly worried about residue of insoluble material in the pool. I did not notice any insolubles in the pool after addition of more than 10 pounds of this product. The pH increased as expected. I am very satisfied with this product and recommend it.

Great value. I was struggling to get my ph up using much smaller packages and it was costing a fortune. Once I was finally able to add enough to get the ph where it needs to be it didn't take much to keep it there. When you have a pool it makes sense to buy the chemicals in volume.

Best thing for beginning of pool season, makes sense to buy more up front at lower cost and have enough come late season when chemicals start to crash. Usually have enough left to get me through Labor Day and the next month.

I put this soda ash in my pool to raise the PH. It raised it very high. Then I had trouble getting it back down to normal range. Eventually I had to put acid in the pool and you have be very careful with acid. This product definitely works!

Great purchase! I urge anyone who is serious about tie-dyeing to purchase soda ash this way. For some reason it had not occurred to me to buy it other than from craft suppliers. 80% savings! Great buy.
