Had to return. Tried this with bananas, but would not hold the pressure and bananas rotted.

I'm blown away by the effectiveness of this food storage container. Just for fun we stored our bananas in it right out of the box to see if they would last longer- they were perfect and yellow when we put them in and by the time we ate the last one almost a week later it had just started to show some small brown spots. We normally store our fruits and veggies in a bowl on the kitchen counter, but this little container is attractive enough to set on the counter as well, so I will probably switch. right now it has my tomatoes in it. My husband is excited to use it for meats and marinades. The only thing I don't like about it is the price; why so expensive? It's very well made, true, but I'm not sure I would consider paying that price normally.I received this item at a very deep discount in exchange for my honest review.
