I have loved these high quality and attractive jars for years and was looking to add a few more to my collection but the delivery charge was more than the price of the jars on some sites. The free delivery and Black Friday sale made the perfect opportunity to finally purchase 4 more. Speedy delivery.

I'm really happy with these jars. They appear to be extremely well constructed, and I love the colored lids. I haven't been in the habit of using this type of jar before, so I was surprised to learn that they could be disassembled for easy and thorough cleaning: absolutely all the parts are easy to disassemble and put back together, in my experience. I would only advise that you be careful not to loose the small oval wire which is responsible for holding it all together. I've kept those separate when washing, rinsed them, then set them aside on a dish cloth or drying mat, so they wouldn't go missing, and that's worked well for me. Although I found these because they were touted for storing sourdough, I find this 1.5L size to be overkill for that task. However, they are lovely and highly useful for storing grains I use in baking, which need protection from humidity, so I'm very happy with them, and they are terrific for homemade pickles.
