I have 2 "Red Cross" branded flashlights that use a "hand-crank" powered generator instead of replaceable batteries to power the LED bulbs. What a surprise when one day I needed to use one of them and cranking the generator produced almost no light. Opening up the flashlight (removable screws) exposed their secret: There are batteries, and mine were shot and leaking out inside of the flashlight shells. These little 3.6v NIMH barrel-style batteries are soldered onto the flashlights little circuit boards, and are used to store the charge from the hand-cranked generator. I found these replacements on Amazon easily enough and simply soldered them in, in place of the original batteries. They are an exact replacement per their specifications, and they have been working perfectly. Thanks for the good buy!

I have some old rechargeable LED candles from Brookstone that were getting to the end of their lives. These were perfect and exact fit replacement batteries that work perfectly in the charger. I to solder the connections and glue them in place just like the old ones, but that's what I expected to have to do.
