Adore 12" Standing Puffy The Silkie Chicken Plush Stuffed Animal Toy

I bought this chicken to be a prop in a play and I could not be happier. It was so cute, soft and full of personality that it inspired the funniest ad lib scene in the entire show, and the actor was so attached I had to gift it to him. The smiley perfectly matches his glee while in possession of this fine hen. Also stands up pretty well. It matches up size wise with the smaller hens on which it is based. Buy and you will not be disappointed.

So I let our dogs out of the dog run while I was doing chores in the backyard. They are confined to the backyard thanks to an invisible fence. Before I let them out I checked to make sure our free-range chickens where in the clear in the front yard. And, the dogs have always been interested in the chickens but have always minded my command to leave them alone. I bet you can see where this is going. Everything was going fine until I went around a shed for only a second, I swear, but when I came back around the dogs had gotten to not just a chicken, but my daughter's absolute favorite silkie hen that she loved to pack around like a baby. Devastation. Somehow the hen left the rest of the flock, made it around to the back of the house all by herself, and tempted the dogs beyond their disciplined limits, all within 2.4 seconds. I'm telling you, there was some JFK assassination level crap going on here. Regardless, the beloved hen was dead and it was my fault. My young daughter was devastated. So I ordered this stuffed chicken and was very pleasantly surprised that it was identical to our saint-hooded chicken. My daughter loves it. I consider it a success in buying my way out of a failed father moment, at least until she wants something and reminds me...

Love my little silkie, as she sits on my bed....I raise real white silkies, so at least this one doesnt make a mess indoors LOL

I have this to my daughter, who loves chickens. It is very soft and great quality.

Very cute. Has stiff legs so you can possibly stand stuffed animal up, if you can balance it right. Very soft, and more detailed than most plushes. I bought this for my mother who is crazy about her chickens and she liked it very much. The only reason I did not give five stars is due to the incorrect anatomy. My chicken crazy mother pointed out the plush only has 3 toes, unlike most chickens silkies actually have 5 toes. But over all an awesome buy.

I bought this as a birthday present for a friend, AKA Crazy Chicken Lady. She owns all things chicken, including about 50 chickens! The second she saw this waiting on her desk she was in love! She loved how accurate it was to her silkie chickens: "Look at these blue cheeks and it even has fluff on its feet!" And she loved how soft and cuddly it is. A great gift for anyone who loves chickens. The only thing I thought was a bit off was that the wings were stitched to stay at the side of the plush instead of being flappable. But this plush was perfect for her and that's all that matters.

I love my chicken! She's soft, sturdily made and lifelike. I make plush animals myself, so I have an appreciation for how hard it is to make something this realistic and still have it be soft and cuddly. This company did a great job. Yes, the "bangs" (fringe) are sewn down, but I left it just like that and Ramona (what I named her, because she's mine) still looks great. This is a great plush for an adult, though I suspect children would like her, too. You can't go wrong with this plush!!!
