ASICS Men's Gel Kayano 20 Lite Show Running Shoe

After a failed experiment with some lighter and more minimalist shoes I returned to the Kayano and have not regretted it. I am training for a Marathon and just completed one of my long runs without any problems. While minimalist shoes emphasize lightness and speed - and sometimes even a more "natural" mid-foot strike - their lack of support starts to tell as you run longer distances. In particular, if you are running on roads with a steep camber your ankles take a lot of strain as the miles mount. I might be being taken in by the advertising for these shoes, but I have felt less ankle strain - something I found a real problem with the more minimalist shoes. So, if you are looking for a Marathon training and running shoe, these are a great choice. This version of the Kayano 20 - the somewhat confusingly named Lite-Show - weighs exactly the same as the regular version, but has reflecting material and a different color. Initially I thought "lite" might refer to weight and was confused when the Amazon description showed it as being a couple of ounces heavier that the regular version, which it isn't.In terms of fit, I have always found the Kayanos to be consistent - and this pair is no exception. However, it is important to remember that athletic shoe sizes do not necessarily match your regular shoe size (I am a regular 10, but Asics 11.5M). Also remember to allow for the fact that some athletic socks - such as Thorlos or Balega - have more padding.

Shoes are very comfortable. I normally wear about a 10, but my wife bought me an 11 based on the reviews. However, we returned them because they were too big. I bought 10.5, which are much better, but still a little big.

This is my third consecutive pair of Asics sneakers (the first was a Gel Titanium and the second was the Kayano 19), and the experience continues to be downright incredible. I'm not a runner, but I spend a lot of time on my feet, and I love walking and hiking. These are the best sneakers I've ever owned, and they're worth every penny! Absolutely no pain anywhere, they fit great, and they look cool, too. People are always asking me about these shoes!

Great fit, great shoes, the gel in the Kayano is wonderful. They have the gel in the ball & heel of the shoe, and although I am not a runner and just walk I need the cushion on my entire foot, prevents knee & hip discomfort. I have gotten the men's shoe for years as the women's shoes never seem to be wide enough for my little fat foot.

I am a moderate to severe overpronator. At first I thought I had arthritis in my knees and I would have to give up my running hobby. This is my third stability shoe from Asics, my first Kayano, and I love them.My first time out, I could feel my weight being moved to the outside of the shoe... this is a good thing. As my foot strikes the ground my ankle collapses, the stability truss in the center of the shoe along with strategically placed hard and soft cushions , helps keep my weight on the center- outside of myfoot which in turn keeps stress off of the inside of the knee.I am 60 years old, about 10 - 15 pounds over weight and run 8 - 12 miles a week. If you over-pronate, you can not do better than a stability shoe from Asics. The Kayano is on the higher end price wise, but a real value for what you get.Finally, BEST LOOKING RUNNING SHOES I HAVE EVER HAD!!!

The shoe is as expected and I bought as this is a 20th anniversary pair, I am happy with the shoes.The problem I encountered leads me to suspect that my credit card info is stolen during this purchase, after about 2 hours of buying this from Amazon, I have a fraudulent charge on my credit card for the amount of US$2.5K (the credit card centre sent me a SMS on this transaction). I had since cancel this card. After cancellation there is another try to use my credit card details for some transaction.Please investigate so that the fraudsters can be prevented.

The shoes are so soft and when you are wearing it, the feeling is like you are stepping on s***,so great!!!But I give it three stars, because the reflective stips went broken afte about two week's wearing.And I didn't run marathon, I just wore it on my way to work. It's unacceptable!The sole of the shoes is great, but the relective strips easily go broken.
