Don't Let This Album Pass You By!
Listen, I've been a supporter of this man's work since he entered the industry. I probably own 85-90% of songs/albums he's laid his vocals on. Rage & The Machine is his BEST piece of work (album wise) hands down. I'm talking MUSICALLY; EXCELLENT beat selection (for those of you who enjoy that head nodding boom bap sound), EXCELLENT radio ready songs, EXCELLENT lyrical content. The overall product shows how much he has evolved since his debut. This album is exactly what's missing in this current era, as there are only a select few who can do it and Joe is without question one of them.I can't stress how important it is to have a producer whose style compliments the artist. Araab is probably the most underrated producer in the game. I'm still blown away at his work w/ Cam and Vado a few years back and his sound meshes perfectly with Joe. I feel the biggest thing that's hurt Joe's past albums was beat selection. He's always had the lyrical content, a couple of bangers here in there, but the production wasn't always his strongest IMO. Not the case this go around. It almost hurt my feelings to see how short the track listing was. I found myself starving for more when I was nearing the end of the album bc I've gotten so used to Joe spitting for 5 mins on almost every track lol. It's a crime that this man isn't mentioned much by mainstream when it comes to BEST rappers of the past ten years. I'd put him up against anyone.

Personally, I've been a huge Joe Budden fan since the debut album. The Mood Muzik series was incredible, and even the Slaughterhouse/Shady deal albums were pretty good. I don't think this is his best album. I do have songs I love. But this project isn't my favorite. Is it worth the $10 or whatever I paid? Absolutely. This man has given me incredible, heartfelt music for over a decade. So I don't mind paying for his work. He deserves it. Every beat is produced by Arab Music, and I've never been a fan of him. With that being said, the beats are actually pretty versatile. I wish he would've used more producer's and I wish the tracklist would've been longer. But for long-time Budden fans, you can't go wrong supporting this man.

True Independent work and great at that.
I knew I could count on this guy. This is good work and you get a sense that you actually paid for an ARTIST'S work, not someone who spend 10 minutes writing his whole album only to sound like everyone else in Atlanta. Thank GOD for artists like this, who don't have to be a formulaic mess to sell albums (he went indie which is good).

Solid but lacking...
Big fan of Joe Budden, one of the best ever in my opinon, off of "All Love Lost" (great album) this one falls short for me...tails off towards the end. Standout tracks include Uncle Joe, Flex, Three and Serious. Joey usually rips his heart from his chest and leaves it for you to feel..not this time...

Great gift
I have a guy friend who is a true Joe Budden fan, and he was very impressed with this. He actually ended up using the album cover as art on his wall.

ONLY FOR JOE BUDDEN FANS. BUY ONLY IF YOU APPRECIATE CREATIVE LYRICS, PRODUCTION, AND GRITTY VIBES
I feel like this album should be judged by fans who been following Joe Budden albums. This album is very different from THE last three projects. The album starts off with the song Three. It has two different beat styles. The first half of the song Joe Budden has a laid back flow with clever and subliminal lyrics. The second half of the song has a very gritty feel and begins to go into a aggressive rap flow with lyrics that finishes the song strong. The second song is Uncle Joe. In my opinion this song has a very unique feel. The pianos and drums make for another gritty song, but with a melody that captures the topic in the lyrics that Joe Spits. He raps from experience. I like this track a lot because it's like a wise older Joe Budden talking to you from experiences that you can learn from. The third track is Serious Featuring Joel Ortiz. Another dark and gritty feeling track. The vibe of the track has a going to war feel with going hard lyrics from both artist. The fourth track is By Law Featuring Jazzy. I love the chorus on this song! Jazzy does a phenomenal job on it and Joe rides the beat with lyrics that keep you in tune with the vibe. The fifth track features Tory Lanez & Fabolous. This song has a laid back feel with lyrics for the ladies. This is the song you play when you chilling with your girl drinking or smoking and enjoying the vibe. Tory shines on this track and fabulous delivers the lyrics this type of songs needs. She sixth track is titled Forget. A less than 2 minute song. The beat reminds me of a 9th wonder style production. I don't know the sample, but Joe spits from experience about females, drugs, and encounters he forgot about. My favorite song on the album track 7, I Gotta Ask. Joe barrows the line from Jay-z's Hard Knock Life song. The vibe, lyrics, and beat along with the sample has a 90's hip-hop feel to it. He delivered on this one!Track 8, Time For Work. This song has a let's live feeling to it. Emanny does what he does on the track. For the grown and sexy though!Track 9 Wrong One, This is one of my favorite songs on the album. It has a dark, but energy feel to it. Joe brings the energy and aggression with lyrics. This one right here will make you want to turn up!Track 10, I Wanna Know. He gets personal on this one. The sample is nice and you can definitely feel where he is coming from on the lyrics with this one. I love this song because this is a classic already!Track 11, Idols. If you grew up listening to 90's rap then you will appreciate this track. He takes it back to the essence of hip-hop. Witty lyrics!Overall this album is for Joe Budden fans who followed him since the beginning of his career. The album is NOT for mumble rap listeners!

Good muisc plain and simple!
Joe has been one of the top lyricist that can make songs for as long as I can remember. Dont just go by the reviews, let the music speak for itself. The production in this album keeps your head nodding, and you have to love it when rappers actually rap.

Meisterwerk
