Vinyl LP pressing. Protection draws from the energy and passion of Face to Face's early records but is filtered through the band's unique perspective as true "lifers" in punk rock. The result is an urgent and powerful 11-song blast that recalls the melody and angst of the band's formative sound, while showcasing their greatly matured song-writing acumen. Thoughtfully penned lyrics bolster the entire album, from band favorites "Double Crossed" and "Say What You Want" to the vicious barb "14:59" and the emotionally moving "Bent But Not Broken." Another factor in the album's outcome was the contribution of producer Bill Stevenson (NOFX, Rise Against, Propagandhi, Anti-Flag). After nearly two decades of Face to Face producing their own albums, the benefit of the collaboration with Stevenson is reflected in the elevated feel of Protection. Despite the fact that Face to Face doesn't need to prove anything to anyone, Protection is an emphatic validation of their 25 years of massive commercial and critical success. I absolutely love this band...
It takes alot for me to spend the time writing a review for something. Thirty seconds into the first song, I knew how awesome the entire thing was going to be. Im the type of music fan the feels that if you are a fan of a band, you can learn to appreciate anything they release. Face to face along great with bad religion are easily my two favorite punk bands in the world. While admittedly albums such as ignorance is bliss and three chords and a half truth are different less punky albums by face to face, I love and appreciate those albums as a fan just as much as the older ones. There is also no denying that while those albums are great I of course prefer the style that paved the way for them as punk rock gods. Protection is an album that will make a lot of the old school fans very happy. On my first listen I was already going back to songs I already heard and started singing them to myself before listening to the rest of the album. This album is non debatable, their best post hiatus album, light years beyond laugh now laugh later and three chords. Anyone who loves them for their straight up, no gimmick, fast, catchy punk style would be nuts not to listen to this. I will be listening to this for weeks if not months the same way I did when I first heard their self titled album. I have seen Trevor and the boys twice before, and I can't wait for them to tour in support of this album so I can see them again. Five out of five stars for this album without question. Awesome job guys, I hope you continue to churn out amazing albums like this for years to come. Love live punk rock. Face to face forever.......

I've loved Face to Face since Don't Turn Away and I've bought everything they've ever released so I'm not an unbiased review. Only saw them live once in Orlando. These guys have helped me through a lot of stuff through life and I'll always be loyal and grateful for that. For a long time, I listened to them every day and it always made that day better. I'm no music critic or expert, but Protection took me back to the early days of this amazing band and it kicks ass. Thanks to Trever, Scott, Dennis and Danny for truly going back to their roots and killing it. Whole album is great, but I love Bent but Not Broken, I Won't Say I'm Sorry, See If I Care, It Almost Went Wrong. My recommendation is just buy it. Maybe it will make your life better too.

Well, I wasn't expecting that!
Woah! Where the HELL did this come from? I've loved this band since 1999 and this is the strongest release they're put out since I first got into them. If you've ever wanted a band to really, TRULY return to their "roots," then this is the disc for you. Honestly this is self titled volume 2 with bits of their first two albums, and maybe a small amount of reactionary thrown in as well. 25 years into their career, face to face might have made their next career-defining album. Unreal!

Face to Face Have Done It!
After the first two singles, I was hopeful but not serious. Bands you love just don't return to their roots and make the album you always wish they would, right?Wrong.Face to Face has delivered in a big way! Protection is start to finish as good as any classic F2F album. It's a perfect mix of the old melodic anthems with the growth and exploration on the more modern F2F releases. If you have ever liked this band, do yourself a favor and BUY Protection right now.

Best Punk Album of the Year!
Such a great album, dare I say their best? There aren't any stinkers on it! Protection has the feel of their entire catalogue of music. Up to this point, my favorite albums were Reactionary, How to Ruin Everything and Ignorance is Bliss and of course the Live Album. Even my 10 and 13 year old kids are singing along to 5 or 6 of the songs right now with me....check it out, it promises to rock and kick ass...

The other reviews aren't wrong. This REALLY is an amazing return to form for Both the band and punk rock in generalSeriously, this album makes me feel like i'm in middle school again and I love it (^_____^)While it isn't my personal favorite album of theirs (that's STILL Reactionary till this very day), it's most assuredly one of their finest

Rock Punk.
This an extremely well done album. I will not, and cannot, say that this is their best album BUT it is a damn good album. Fluid, catchy, and many songs will make lifetime playlists.

20 years waiting for this album
I felt like hearing the Mirror Album (Face to Face) for the first time. One of the best (if not the best punk album) of 2016.

A Stunning Return To Form...
Their Third Album since reforming in 2008 and a return to their Famous 90's Sound. Fast, Loud, Anthemic, Melodic Punk Rock with Heart On Sleeve (But not clichéd...) Lyrics. Easily amongst the band's best work.

A bunch of really good songs
I prefer their older stuff... it’s not as edgy or solid punk like Face to Face’s older stuff but this is still an okay album..... update.. I’ve been listening to this album more and more.. it’s really growing on me. It’s a lot better than the last few albums. If you are a Face to Face fan it’s a must have.

Einer der proffesionellsten Face to Face Alben
Es sind gut klingende Tracks auf dem Album zu hören. Dennoch sticht diesmal keines der Tracks großartig heraus. Dennoch ist es eine coole Scheibe!
