My dog was afraid of shiny floors and then...
We got this stuff and I can now take my retired Greyhound to the pet store and the vet and on vacation with me without worrying about him slipping. The scent is very chemically and pretty strong, but I feel like it's a trade-off. I am so glad that I found this stuff because it is the best solution. I tried rub on salves and booties and the stick on the things. The first one didn't work and the last two he hated. This stuff is a lifesaver. Make sure you apply it outside. It takes some practice to get it on the dog and not on yourself.

This is a horrible product.
I have an elderly dog; she is now having difficulty on the laminate and vinyl flooring when she hops up on a chair or down. She slides some. So I purchased this product to help her remain steady and not slide or slip. WRONG product to purchase. She can't even walk well after I used this on her pads. She slides even more on the laminate and vinyl in the kitchen. Standing still, her leg will start to slide if it isn't directly under her. Do NOT buy this product if you have an animal who is already sliding, or slipping....it cannot be returned because it is extremely flammable and policy dictates it cannot be returned. In order to get my money back I had to talk with Amazon directly and now I have to find a way to dispose of it because the can is not only flammable, but contents are under pressure. How in the world they could MAIL IT TO ME eludes me, because I sure as heck can't mail it back for the same reasons they shouldn't have been able to mail it to me. Now I'm going to spend time with alcohol or polish remover to get this stuff off my dog's paws so she isn't afraid to walk at all, as she is now. Don't purchase this product and subject (especially) an elderly animal to it.

It helps a little but I think the rubber coated socks do a much better job. I still use it every so often ...
The vet suggested this for my aging dog who slips on the tile and laminate. It helps a little but I think the rubber coated socks do a much better job.I still use it every so often but my dog does not like it when I spray it on her feet - it's cold. I end up with it on my fingers and it feels like a light coating of rubber. It reminds me of that stuff you put on your finger to keep papers separated. It wears off of my dog in about 2 - 3 days. She is not very active. If your dog is slipping, trim the hair on their feet between the pads. Keeping that hair short really helps.

Good Solution to Keep Your Dog's Paws from Slipping on Slick Floors
Show Foot was recommended to me by a friend. Her dog was nervous when competing in dog sports and would slip on the floor and try to dig his nails in, making him slip even more. I tried Show Foot by spraying my dog's two front paws. She immediately stopped slipping on the floor and became more confident during her Scentwork interior searches. No boots needed! I recommend this product to anyone who's dog is fearful about walking on slippery linoleum or hardwood floors. It works!

Elderly Dog Pleased
I bought this for the Mastador we adopted from a local rescue 13 years ago. In my mind, it's intended for providing extra traction during a dog show. I expect those to last a day or two, so I expect the product to need to be reapplied daily, every other day if you are lucky. We've been using it two days, I am pleased to report our dog's hind legs looked fatigued by bedtime last night. She has only very slight arthritis in one knee, but a undertreated thyroid condition is behind the loss of muscle tone. We've changed vets, her thyroid condition is being managed more effectively, and arthritis relief. I don't feel bad for pushing her limits a little to get more time for us. She's a good dog, we want her around as long as possible! It's a little tricky to apply, I ended up with spray adhesive up to my elbow. After the first applications, she put things together. Second applications ended up with some overspray on the carpet. Grass clippings do stick to her feet, and she tracks them in. It seems like grass clippings come with living with animals, so it doesn't bother me any.

High Hopes Dashed
My dog has neurological and orthopedic issues causing difficulty getting traction to get up easily on smooth floors. I had hoped this would help. It is impossible to just spray onto his pads, so the fur between the pads get sticky as well. The stuff on the pads will wear off, but takes a while for the fur to lose the stickiness.

help for an old dog
I ordered this product to help our old dog walk on the hardwood floors without slipping and falling. It is easy to apply to her pads, and she doesn't try to lick it off. We reapply it every other day. It will probably be effective longer in the summer, but after going out in the snow multiple times per day it starts to wear off. The product is giving her more traction when walking indoors, and preventing her from falling down. It doesn't leave any sticky spots on the floors.

Poisonous
I purchased this to help my senior dog with his slipping back paws. Despite this being a product, for dogs, who lick their paws, it is toxic. Harmful if ingested, with numbers for poison control on the back of the can. They expect you to spray poison on your dog's feet.Perhaps, if you had an actual show dog who only needed this for about half an hour now and then, it would be useful. But for a pet you love, this is toxic and not safe for daily use. That information should have been in bold letters at the top of the ad. It wasn't. I bought it. It is non-refundable.Love your pet, and your wallet, and do *not* buy this product.
