Google Says....Four Stars
Google Says... Another great hockey romance by Natasha Madison.I have read several series by this author. I love her writing style. She writes great stories with great characters.Only One Chance fits right in there.Miller and Layla. An enemies to lovers story.Miller is a very cocky, self assured hockey star. Overly flirtatious, his smirk is legendary. But as he gets older, he starts wondering about settling down. He has the house, now he wants the wife, kids and the white picket fence. And he’s had a serious crush on Layla for the last four years.Layla is a strong female character. Independent, sassy, and doesn’t take crud from anyone. She has her own sports talk radio show. Going toe to toe with men over numbers and stats. She’s turned down every date Miller has asked for. While she secretly find him attractive and wonders what it would be like to go out with him, she does not want to be just another notch on his bedpost. One charity auction, too much champagne, and Layla has bought herself a date with the one man she’s been dodging for the past four years. But Miller turns out to be nothing like she was expecting. He’s kind, thoughtful, even a bit romantic. He would be perfect if he didn’t flirt with everything in a skirt.I loved both Layla and Miller. The story was fun, well written moved quickly. I liked catching up with Ralph and Candace from the first book. There were a couple of things that I struggled with. Like with some of the earlier hockey books, continuity is a problem. She talks about Justin and Evan playing for Montreal. Justin did play for Montreal, but was traded at the end of his book. Evan played for Dallas before being traded to New York. Not a big deal, it just bugged me.The other thing was Miller’s “date” with Layla’s grandmother. While it was over the top and absolutely hilarious, if the roles had been reversed, and the male had done what she did to him, Miller would have been arrested.A good story. This series is a spin-off, of a spin-off of the original Something So series. They do occasionally have characters that overlap. But all can standalone.Dual points of view.No cheating. No cliffhanger. They have a huge breakup, but do eventually find that happy ending.I’m looking forward to the next one.

Layla and Miller! What a fun story
This was a fun story to read. In the first book, Only One Kiss, you got a chance to see Miller in action. I wasn't too sure about this story. However, wow I loved how Layla and Miller got together! Layla's grandmother was a hoot!It was fantastic to see Miller understand his flaws and learn how to be a better man by watching Manning and Ralph. It was a wake up call for him to grow up!Layla us a great strong and independent FMC! Loved her independence! But really, both her and Miller are closet romantics! I loved how they got to know each other.I'm ready for the next book! I highly recommend this story and I can't wait to get through the whole series!

Google, do we have a five star book?
I bet if you asked Google, it would say this is an awesome book. Of course, to understand why my review began with that, you'll have to read the book. I mean you have a hot hockey player and a woman who has played hard to get for 4 years. Layla and Miller do NOT have an easy road during this book. There is a lot of angst. Matter of fact, there is more angst in this book, in my opinion, than Natasha usually writes. Grandma Nancy is a hoot. I loved Miller's family for the brief, but major, stint that they were in the book. I think you will really enjoy this book. The storyline is easily followed. There is a lot of banter, at first, that just makes you smile. Even though it's part of a series, I do believe that you can read it as a stand alone. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger. But: Natasha, Natasha, Natasha, did you have to make me relive the horrible Winter Classic Game from 2019?????? I am a Preds fan...ughhhh.......LOL.... I'll still give you 5 stars even if you made me relive that horrible day!!!!

Miller and Layla
This was a good addition to this series. After witnessing Miller’s flirtations with Layla in the previous book I was interested to see how their relationship would play out. And while this was labeled an enemies to lovers story, I didn’t really get that from their initial interactions. It was more of a reformed playboy, mutual pining type of feeling.Miller had been chasing Layla for over four years, but he didn’t understand the impact his flirtatious nature had on Layla’s continued efforts to turn him down. After buying a date with Miller and sending her grandmother on that date with him, Layla finally gives in and gives Miller a chance. Both Lyla and Miller were on the ons train and while Miller had decided he wanted to try something new, his behavior in public didn’t line up with that. However, after a falling out with Layla and a few days distance and observation of Ralph and Manning, Miller realized that Layla was right and took action to show he understood her concerns.I really loved Miller. He was one of those characters who had so much hidden beneath his public exterior and it just took the right woman to bring everything to the surface. The third act breakup was extremely emotional and I felt for both Miller and Layla. They both had some things to work through in order to reconcile and I’m so glad they did. The ending was perfect and I loved their HEA.

Loved it!
Great read. Miller is hilarious. Layla as well. The book started off hilarious and although it progressed to hot and steamy, there was still humour interjected. Such a great read. Loved the Google references and don’t even get me started on Grandma Nancy. So awesome!! Well done.

Emotional and sexy sports romance
Only One Chance is an emotional, sexy and highly entertaining enemies to lovers, sports romance and the second installment in Natasha Madison's addictive Only One series. I'm a huge sucker for her deliciously hot hockey hunks with hearts of gold and feisty, strong and independent heroines. Nat truly knows how to make you fall irrevocably in love with her charming, intriguing characters and make you feel invested in their story. I was rooting for Layla and Miller since book one and wanted them to have their own happily ever after.I expected this story to be all funny and light but I definitely didn't see that wave of feelings coming at the end of the book that hit me straight in my heart. I was full out sobbing and crying. Luckily Nat gave us a beautiful, swoon-worthy epilogue that left a huge and happy smile on my face. The only two minor issues I had with this story and that made me deduct half a star from the rating were Layla's crazy grandmother who was too over the top for me and the unpolished editing.Miller Adams is well known for his exceptional performances on the ice but also outside of it. He is hockey's most sought after bachelor. When he auctions himself off for a date in order to support a teammate's charity he doesn't expect his dream woman to be the highest bidder. She has brushed him off more often than he cares to admit but now he finally has a chance to impress Layla and win her over. Although Layla Paterson is the anchor woman of a successful sports talk show, she made a strict rule to never date a jock, especially if he's a conceited womanizer who can't keep it in his pants. And there's a certain gorgeous Dallas Oilers player who has been persistently pursuing her for years and whose shameless flirting infuriates and frustrates her. She never wanted to break her own rule but Miller might just be the one man worthy of bending it.I've absolutely adored Miller Adams. He is such a multi-layered and interesting protagonist. To the outside world he only showed his official persona - the hockey player who was cocky, confident and always nice and touchy feely with fans. But his friends and family got to see a different side to him, the real Miller. A guy who was fed up by the party lifestyle and puck bunnies and wanted to settle down and have a family and laid back life. He wasn't perfect boyfriend material but for Layla he was trying so hard to be the man she falls for and gives her trust to. He did some very romantic and thoughtful things for her that made my heart melt and love him even more than I already did.Layla Paterson truly gave poor Miller a run for his money. He had to jump through hoops in order for her to give him a chance. Layla was tainted by her previous experiences and that's why she was reluctant to date a famous hockey player who is especially popular with the ladies. She definitely had some trust issues to overcome but as soon as she realised that Miller is so much more than meets the eye and that she's misjudged him she opened up her heart and let him in. It was utterly beautiful to watch these two wonderful people fall slowly in love with each other. They had such explosive sexual chemistry from the start but they also connected on a deep emotional level.I've thoroughly enjoyed this amazing story and highly recommend it. I truly look forward to the next installments in this series. I'm sure that Nat has a few aces up her sleeve and that she's going to blow our minds. I'm giving this one 4.5 stars!

Another Winner at the Queen of Hockey Romances
I started out thinking that Only One Chance was going to be great light heart hockey romance; I never doubted it would be a đź’Żwinner as Natasha Madison never produces anything less than perfection and when you get introduced to Grandma Nancy at the start of the story (and just to say everyone needs her in their lives) and I laughed so hard I thought I was going to pee myself - well with one liners like "If the car is a rocking, don't come a knocking." you too would think the same! But boy was I wrong - Natasha Madison somehow managed to start with some light hearted humour to throw me of track before BOOM she totally took the rug from under my feet, with what turned out to be a masterpiece of a story.Sports radio presenter Layla has known Miller for nearly 5 years but from their first meeting where they did a little flirting but by the time Layla came back from the rest room Miller had his tongue down someone else's throat they have sort of kept their relationship purely professional. That doesn't mean that they haven't though about each other cause they have.Miller has tried everything over the years to get Layla's number but with know luck but its about to change when at a charity auction Layla has one to many glasses of bubble and bids and wins a date with Miller. Miller now thinking this is his chance to win over the beautiful Layla. But Miller has a hard rule no lying and when finally Layla's lets Miller in she is hiding one hell of a secret which once Miller finds out is about to crack this relationship wide open!

Wow
He started with a chase to win her over and that he did. She had something to tell him, but he didn’t her it from her. He got the wrong idea. My heart was breaking for this couple as they waded through the waters of getting back to each other. The author wrote their words so well, that I had tears in my eyes and could feel every emotion. Great work.Narration was amazing.

Missed the Madison Magic!
Natasha Madison is one of my favorite authors, the something so series for example is so great! Here you think- what happened? The grandmother was fully over the top and unrealistic. It wasn't even funny. No real connection between the couple. They drive away a lot from their houses. I never flipped over so many pages without reading because it was simply boring. I am so looking forward to Mannings story, hope that book will bring back the Madison Sparkle! *
