This Samovar is made in China, but I find it to be of high quality and a very good buy!

It is 17 inches tall without the teapot and about 22 inches with the teapot. Fits perfectly on the end of my counter.

Does the water continue to boil and then turn itself off to the warm mode or do you have to switch it on and off? How do you keep the teapot warm?

Yes it continues to boil and then it turns itself to warm mode, after temperature drops to a point it turns on again. Overall, it keeps the teapot warm but if you are used to that boiling middle eastern tea, it will not be with this Samovar. You have to drink that tea quick or else it will be cold.
