Snapshot of Faith
This book appealed to me because I am a bit of a DIYer when it comes to Bible Study. I am also a forever student of the Bible and what believer wouldn’t want to grow their faith? So, everything about this book drew me in. I can honestly say that I was not disappointed and greatly encouraged in my faith from reading this book. I have been a believer for over 60 years. I loved that this book challenged me to allow my faith to grow!My experience with this book was that it reminded me, challenged me, and lead me to develop a more eternal perspective while living in this temporal world. In chapter 3 I was reminded to live with the end in mind! In chapter 4 the author tells us that it’s our outer man that sins, but the inner man is righteous. I appreciated how he developed that idea over the next couple of chapters. I so agreed in Chapter 6 that what we put into our minds is what we become. So many more truths waiting for you to discover.I feel this book will appeal to those who prefer learning with repetition and filling in the blanks. This really appeals to my mode of learning. It is set up to be worked through in 30 days (my preferred method to build on the principles while the previous days discussion is still fresh on my mind, and it helps keeps me on task). However, a person could work through it as it works best for you. It can be done as an individual or in a group. Each chapter has a review, discussion, and decision points. Oh, and did I mention repetition? It is my opinion that this book is an excellent resource for the new believer or a seasoned believer, so I feel it has wide appeal. I liked how the book is a snapshot of Faith in 30 days, but it is also chock full of lots of resources to take your study deeper. Trust me, you will WANT to go deeper!

A great tool for growing into the person God wants you to be
Max Anders has written another easy-to-understand book that is aimed at helping people of all ages have a closer relationship with God. As a former homeschooling mom, I highly recommend this book as a tool for parents to use with their older children to help them understand their faith and grow into the adults that God wants them to be. It would be a great tool for college students as well to study on their own or in a group setting.I’ve been a Christian for almost 60 years and I’ve heard a lot of sermons and read a lot of books. I like Max’s approach to drill down to the basic essentials of our faith so that we not only know the truth, but we understand it and can apply it to our lives. What good is knowledge if it doesn’t change us?I especially liked the chapter on the Role of Trials in the Christian Life. “Between the giving of the dream and the fulfillment of the dream is often a long, dark valley.” I thought of Joseph and Moses who waited many years to see their dreams fulfilled. “During the dark valleys, we are often in the sit-stay position. We are doing something. We are being scrutinized by all of heaven to see if we will be faithful.” I thought of Satan accusing Job and was reminded with awe that there is more going on than what we can see.Read this book and share it with your friends and family. It’s a great companion book to 30 Days to Understanding the Bible. For homeschoolers, I would start with 30 Days to Understanding the Bible in 5th grade or higher, and then move on to 30 Days to Growing in Your Faith.

Excellent read whether you are a newbie or a seasoned Christian
Excellent read! You should definitely take at least the 30 days mentioned in the title, if not more, to read it. There is so much good material in here, you may want to linger longer as I did. The book is full of biblical truths laid out in a brilliant spiral self-review format. It sets a strong foundation and builds on it throughout so that you can’t help but learn and grow. As Max says, “If something is important it has to be repeated until it changes you.” He has built in repetition that makes the information sink into your subconscious. There is also an excellent listing of additional recommended resources at the end of each chapter.I would recommend this book to any readers as the material is explained so well that a new Christian will be enriched, yet is deep enough for a seasoned student to be inspired.

Great addition to any Christian's library
Max Anders follows up “30 Days to Understanding the Bible” with this book on growing your faith. He uses the same basic format as the previous book with emphasis on repetition of key terms which is very helpful in not only learning the material but more importantly retaining what you learn. Whether you are new to the faith or have been a Christian all your life, there is something in this book for you. It is divided into 3 sections: Be, Know and Do. In the Be section, he addresses the need to not only have an eternal perspective but also an eternal purpose, and the need to understand what it even means to have a spiritual nature. As Max points out, “You were created by God, for God, and you will only be truly happy as a Christian who is growing in God.” In the Know section, he starts right off with asking a question that needs to be asked but rarely is: Why doesn’t the Christian life work better than it does? And then he offers reasons why and guidance on how to change things to have a better walk. In the Do section, he gets into what is involved in living the Christian life and what success in this looks like. As I was reading the book, I would finish a chapter and think “How can he top that?” and then read the next chapter and see that he did. I highly recommend both books as valuable additions to any Christian library and if you do not have such a library, these are a great place to start. I read an advance copy of the book while participating in a book launch team. I received my hardcopy today and am looking forward to rereading it.

Delicious, study!
I’m enjoying the study. Mr. Anders breaks the scriptures down it down in an engaging way. I’m learning and I love it! I love the layout and what I’m getting from the study. Two Thumbs Up!
