The clippers are an excellent size for arthritic hands. It has sharp cutting blades that leave your nails with a smooth cut. The nail file is lacking because of the position and small surface area. I would recommend this to friends.

ok - not what i was expecting
i have been looking for a stainless steel clipper that can be both permanently sharp & also thin enough at the nail to get a precise, easy cut. reviews of this led me to believe it might be that (one mentioned it could even be used for babies). i found this not to be the case - it was just as unweildly as any other. there is no way these could be used for even a child. disappointed
