The length is measured from the tip of the hooks.
These were the first polyurethane bungees I ever bought and I thought they would be more stretchy. Also I didn't realize that the hooks were included in the length so they were shorter than I wanted. They are pretty skinny but it doesn't seem to be a problem as they are plenty strong.I can't say anything about durability yet because I haven't had them a year yet but they seem like they will hold up fine.

Size up
As reading reviews beforehand I was aware that they did not stretch..but what I didn't understand is they don't do not stretch at all.. not a problem I bought them for the visual as I am of visual based person just bought them in a longer size.. and absolutely love this product visually speaking

Very durable, not very flexible.
The bungee cords are strong, well-built, and weather resistant. They're very durable.However, mine do not stretch anywhere near as well as traditional bungee cords. They have maybe 1.5" of elasticity, and that's all.

NO STRETCH AT ALL!! Buyer beware!
I wish I had read the reviews. Shame on me. They are good looking but do not serve anyone's purpose the way a normal bungee cord would. There is no stretch whatsoever. Why call it a bungee cord when bungee cords stretch? I am going to eat the cost and try to find something else to use them for.. Totally disappointed.

Useless. Don’t bother
Hooks are cheap plastic and too thick to hook normal hooks, which would surely break if it were even possible to stretch and hook these onto anything. The rubber is so strong you couldn’t stretch it with 4 people trying. Entirely useless

Really heavy duty, but not anywhere near as much stretch as most bungee cords
These appear to be really well made bungee cords. Of course, for the money, they should be. However, they kind of lack what most folks buy bungee cords for......the STRETCH. These things really don't have a whole lot of stretch and it takes a lot of muscle to stretch them much at all. While they would properly work well for some things, they didn't work for me. I had expected them to have a lot longer stretch than they had and when I could get it to the point that I needed it, they were so tight that my wife couldn't undo them. So, I had to order some other ones.

Does not stretch
Product was delivered very quickly. I realize now in the description it does not say the bungees stretch. My mistake- I thought what bungee cords do is stretch. Which these do- my husband did manage to get it tight- by almost an inch! Definately not for something that requires a stretch to open. Once on-its on.

Waste of money
If you are looking for a stretchy bungee cord, these are not for you. I’m not sure they even stretch 1”. Waste of my money.
