how can you tell when it is fully charged and how do you put the batteries in? It does say it on the lid

After you plug it in, the light goes from red to green. Green light indicates that it's charged! At the bottom of the Wine opener, you'll see underneath where you put the batteries. However, you should decide if you want to use batteries or charger. Don't do both or the batteries will corrode.

Is this a rechargeable electric bottle opener?

Yes, it is. It works with 4 AA rechargeable batteries and can open one bottle in 6 seconds, up to 120 bottles.

Can the charger be used internationally?

We've only used the wine opener in the comfort of our home. However, I don't see why you couldn't, although some countries would require an adapter.

does this work with the bigger mouth bottles like a magnum?

I have not tried it with a magnum.

Have been using a manual wine bottle opener for a long and trying an automatic one for the first time. I am impressed by this device and would recommend it to anyone. It is a nice product and works great.My 2 cents below:Pros:- Works great- Easy to use with just 2 buttons- Has intuitive color LED light- Has an inbuilt rechargeable battery, hence no need to depend on AA/AAA batteries. Charges through USB port- Great build quality- Very reasonably priced for the set.
