For newer pencil designs, they're great, especially for Prisma colors. But older pencils, not so good. I guess it's to be expected though given updated designs. I just have a box of old colored pencils that are still good but some of them are on the small side and I was hoping that I could use these to make coloring with them more comfortable on my hand. I suppose I could wrap some masking tape around the bottom of the pencils so that they'll be thick enough in diameter for the extenders to grab them.Maybe my review is being a bit unfair. Still, they weren't what I was hoping for but they aren't so bad to be returned. I'm sure I'll use them in the future with some current generation pencils when my old ones are gone.

Most extenders won't accommodate Conté à Paris 8.5mm diameter charcoal pencils. This 10mm diameter extender will. I find placing a 1.5 inch cut section of drinking straw on the pencil works better than tape to make the fit snug. Doesn't wobble at all. Perfect! :)

I got these to use my Prismacolors stubs, andtge idea is great. The ridges where my fingers naturally land (the clips that hold the pencil in place) make it almost impossible for me to use. I'm sure there are other artists who hold the pencils differently and so these will work for them. Also the clips aren't strong enough to hold the pencils for sharpening, so you will need to unclip, sharpen, then put back in place. A bit tedious in my opinion.

I finally can use those pencils that are getting down to a nub. It holds the pencil securely while I work. Works great!

Construction is good. However, they did not seem to fit many of my colored pencils. Seemed to fit my hexagon shaped pencils the best. The pencils that were too small were able to be adjusted to fit by wrapping washi tape around the colored pencils. I have several brands of colored pencils. I ended up ordering a different type set.

These are super at extending the use of my coloured pencils, charcoal pencils, watercolour pencils. If it’s a medium in pencil form, I have discovered they fit.I’m going to get more. Well worth the investment

These work well enough but they dont fit Luminance which is why I bought them.

My colored pencils don’t fit the way I thought they should, both ends are too big for them, no matter what brand I use, and I have several. I can use the big end by pushing the pencil way up and then tightening the holder, but don’t think that is the way it’s supposed to work!
