Hardline was born from a union between brothers Johnny and Joey Gioeli and Neal Schon (Journey) and Deen Castronovo, who were just coming out of the wildly successful Bad English. After the massive debut album, Double Eclipse, they returned 10 years later with II and two more albums followed. Fast forward to 2016 and Human Nature is the heaviest and strongest album since their beloved debut. The combination of Gioeli's vocals, Josh Ramos' incendiary riffs and Alessandro Del Vecchio's musical and production talents have created an album for the ages. A must for melodic hard rock fans.

HARDLINE'S HUMAN NATURE GIVES DOUBLE ECLIPSE A RUN FOR IT'S MONEY
Hardline has finally put out an album that rocks like the debut "DOUBLE ECLIPSE" album did many years ago. Johnny's voice is better than ever and the lyrics are very positive and strong on this album. Josh Ramos finally gets to cut loose and play guitar like the great guitarist that I knew he could be. There are a couple of beautiful ballads on the album but the rest of the album rocks. This is a much more guitar oriented album than the previous album "Danger Zone". Danger Zone was a good album but Human Nature is a Great Album. If you are a fan of Melodic Rock with great guitar riffs, then you will enjoy this album from start to finish!!!!!!

The new tone of HARDLINE
First off, I've been a huge fan of HARDLINE and other work of Johnny Gioeli for years. I think this direction was his best choice and it sounds good, at least for the most part.1. Where Do We Go From Here:This amazing track has a big twist that is unfamiliar with Hardline. It has a Crush 40, ARP esc tone but nevertheless incredible. This song basically explains look how far we've come as humans, now we should critically think about where we go now? You know human history, brainstorm how we can improve..especially now.2. Nobody's Fool:Unlike the first track, this song comes off as a noisy mess. It's similar to "Taking me Down" but it's not all at the same time. The instruments are fine and so is Johnny's voice but the mix of lyrics and the music just sound like they don't mix. Just sounds like a filler song but more Hardline is never bad.3. Human Nature:Starts out what might seem simple but then BAM, a incredible anthem. Again like the first song, the lyrics are powerful and set the tone. This song is good, check it out seriously and get the message :).4. Trapped in Muddy Waters:Basically this is inspired by "Can't find my Way" but more of a southern blues. Its alright, if you like this tone then this is a good one. Kinda comes off eh as far as modern country tone.5. Runnin' On Empty:You'll notice that this song is not only a nod to a familiar song, but it's almost indentical, "Rhythm from a Red Car" if you didn't guess it. I really appreciate when Johnny does his nods to previous masterpieces however this song falls very short of being more than just a moving rock song. It's not generic but just an awesome rock jam, perfect for driving or running!6. The World Is Falling Down:The heaviest song on the album. It's a strong message tune with some push and shove thrown it. It seems really dark, not just in tone either but it pays off and it's alright.7. Take You Home:This incredible piece of music just breaks my heart in all the right ways every time I hear it. This is such an amazing ballad, haven't heard such an incredible one since "Face The Night". I feel "In This Moment" kinda inspired this tune but made one of the best songs I've ever heard. This song BETTER get on top charts! Just let it Take You Home ;)8. Where The North Wind Blows:Starts off VERY interesting, then a mixture of emotions and music just hit you and send you on an incredible journey. The while song is very catchy, it does pull some tight amazed inner rockers in us. This song defines the album.9. In The Dead of The Night:I think this song is pretty neat. Starts off kinda slow then picks up and pays off. It's definitely got that 80's twist with the melodic tone. It's not bad at all. A few playthroughs and it will stick. Made for those random feelings in the dead of night.10. United We Stand:This song is also an excellent addition to the album and really reneforces the tone of the entire album.11. Fighting the Battle:The song isn't bad, it's just not as fun to listen to as some of the others. The lyrics are good but I feel they could have went into a better sounding song. All in all, this is another fine album by HARDLINE and pretty impressive for 25 years since "Double Eclipse." I know that the tones have changed over the albums but they ALL worked well. This album is proof that his changes STILL work and there is always room from creativity.

Great powerful melodic rock.
Superb vocals from Johnny Gioeli and cracking guitar playing by Josh Ramos, as good as anything that they have done. This is the sort of record that ‘Bad English’ should have made. J.G. has a great expressive singing style that is ideal for rock. Check out his work with the other bands that he has played with.Highly recommended. Playing time 49 ¼ mins.

Johnny Gioeli is a fantastic vocalist - of that there is no doubt whatsoever
First off, Johnny Gioeli is a fantastic vocalist - of that there is no doubt whatsoever. The singing on this new CD is top notch as you'd expect. Some of the songs have cheeky winks to songs of the past but all in all I would highly recommend this to fans of Hardline. I like the 'tougher' sound this time out and the title track, a slower power anthem, is worth the admission price alone.

Hard pushed not to like it
Not their strongest work but there are times it is classic Hardline, some tracks remind me of Double Eclipse so no problem there, it a good cd and groves on you it's not been out the player for two weeks so I like it Hardline fans will too, give it a listen.

Great album. A refreshing 80s glam rock feel, along with the best of the time, with such a modern eliment of rock. A familiar sound of their earlier album, double eclipse and great vocals.
