This is great. Cool crafts, nice materials. Day one creates a star ornament and everything you need is provided, you just add a baking sheet, liner paper or foil and your oven. It looks great and the crafts are nice, not too hard, not too boring. My daughter (11) and son (10) love it! Really pleased. Update: day 7 and my 6th grader still loves it. My 5th grader finds the craft instructions really hard to follow, lots (4/6) have not gone quite right for him and he’s pivoted to his own inventing, which is fine, but means the company might want to improve the instructions: he builds Lego Technik 14+ on his own!

Great projects, easy to follow instructions, nothing takes too long to finish, and my daughter created some really adorable ornaments and other crafts.

Overall, I was pretty happy with this purchase. My oldest daughter loves to do crafts so I thought this would be a lot of fun for her. At first she would wake up before school and be excited to open it and work on the project but if I am being honest, after the first maybe 5 days I would have to remind her to open the box each day and if I didn't help her, I would find the open box in her room either half way completed or not started at all. Some of the crafts were a little challenging for her - and she is a pretty crafty self-sufficient kid - there was one where she had to make a teddy bear and between the 2 of us we couldn't get it to look like the pictures - they include instructions, and pictures of the steps but to be honest the pictures were not super easy to follow so it did get a little frustrating. It would be SUPER helpful to have videos online walking you through each craft - this may not be possible, but just a suggestion that I think would've made it more doable for kids. Each box did contain mostly everything you needed for each craft which was nice, aside from things like scissors, markers, etc. We also chose to use a hot glue gun for several of the crafts because regular glue was not cutting it. Most of the crafts were super cute (or at least the ones that we completed) - it wasn't just like the normal beaded candy cane or popsicle stick Santa hat - definitely more unique crafts which I appreciated. Our favorite was the pom pom ball ornament - that came out SUPER cute. The one complaint my daughter had was she wishes the cover of the instruction book did not show pictures of all of the crafts - she likes to be surprised each day since it is an advent calendar - so she cleverly covered the book with glued on construction paper so she couldn't see what all of the projects were - easy fix but maybe something to consider. The boxes were sturdy and fun to open and overall it was a nice looking advent calendar. I also bought the science experiment calendar for my son by this same company and HANDS DOWN this calendar blew the science experiment one out of the water - the science was such a bust and a waste of money so if you are trying to decide between the 2 DEFINITELY go with this one. I originally had wanted the magic calendar also by the same company but it was sold out so TBD on that one.

Gave this to my 10-year old daughter and it is a great, high quality advent calendar. I’m very impressed. Great for ages 10 and up in my opinion. Would present well as a gift.

I got one as a gift for my niece and one for my son. They are both loving them. The crafts are really cool so far. The instructions are easy to follow. We have a newborn and I wanted to make sure to spend quality time every day with just my 5 year old son leading up to Christmas. This fit the bill perfectly. Something fun and easy. He is also excited about having cool presents for to give to our extended family for Christmas that he made. He is so proud of himself.

I’ve copied the description of this product as well as the actual truth behind each bullet point they list. “This Christmas Arts & Crafts ADVENT CALENDAR will not only provide your kids a daily arts & crafts activity for each day of the 24 days before Christmas - it will also enrich your Christmas tree and Christmas table with a variety of 24 season ornaments proudly hand made by your kids.” - a few of the items were non-seasonal colors. For example, one of the items was a Pom ornament with all pink and purples. Would not have been ideal for a boy. The item made with a napkin came in a floral, spring looking print. “ENGAGING & INTRIGUING- 24 exciting arts & crafts creations for Christmas. Your kids will be super proud on Christmas day showing off their art!” - their art? HARDLY!! We will address this later on. However, my daughter did love the products and was happy to show them off. “HOURS & HOURS OF PLAY- A different creation is hidden in each box.” - I wouldn’t say hours. I was able to knock out several days of crafts in under an hour (more to come on this topic). “EASY TO DO - Includes all necessary components and a colorful manual with step-by-step and pic by pic instructions.” - FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! You need extra items for EVERY SINGLE PROJECT!!! Mainly, a hot glue gun. Nearly every project required a hot glue gun…which we did not have on hand. A couple require pine cones, and we were unable to locate ones we needed. Required a jar for one of the crafts, minimal sewing experience, etc. “FOR EVERYONE - Arts & Crafts creations are suitable for ages 6 and above without prior experience (although some adult supervision is required for selected activities depending on age and the specific creation at hand).” - my child loves crafting and is almost 8. She’s not been able to do even the bulk of the work on any of these projects. Several of the projects I had to complete 100% on my own while she watched with sad eyes because it was beyond her means to complete it. My child LOVED the idea of this box and is super crafty. She’s always making new projects out of old things, but this just was not the right kid. Not even half of the items you need are included and they are far too complex for ages 13 and under.

I’ve been impressed so far with the crafts provided. We may be running behind, but we are looking forward to doing each one! I’d say it seems suitable for ages 8 and up, because some of the crafts can be difficult. And even though you need some things at home, they are pretty basic crafting supplies. Overall, I think it is a very fun and creative idea!

Amazing value for money, great crafty gift. Creates a great time to bond daily making these crafts together. Thoroughly enjoyed by our entire family and the science one I'd also recommend

On a juste ouvert les 2 premiers jours. Et c'est déjà waow !! Très apprécié par ma fille de 5 ans. Seul hic, les décorations ne sont pas une surprise. Toutes les instructions sont dans un même manuel. Donc on peut anticiper la deco du jour suivant. Chaque instrustion aurait pu être mise dans chaque boîte. Mais la fabrication demeure amusante

High quality calendar with a good selection of things to make, great for crafty kids!

This was a lot better than anticipated. My daughter did not want a chocolate advent calendar and we have had make up and Jewellery advent calendars in the past. As she has just come out of hospital and is not back to school this is fun and will give her a different craft to do each day. I was worried it would be too young for a 15 year old but it is really good and day one she is really looking forward to doing the 1st craft project.

It is a very neat calander with cool crafts but some are on the difficult side and require extra things they don't always give you. There are a few that require sewing, although they do give you to tools to do that. Overall its great, just more targeted for older kids.
