Black Nylon Teaching Lead by Sarah Hodgson

Sarah Hodgson is my puppy guru! Her book, Puppy Perfect, is helping me teach our puppy things I never dreamed possible, so when she recommended a leash that she designed, I listened. It's got clips on both ends and 6 riveted holes down the middle (with another near one end) so the leash can be lengthened or shortened or clipped to almost anything. One end has a ring near the clip and can be turned into a quick collar for those endless trips in and out of the house for potty-training. The full 6 ft length is just right for keeping my puppy close but not overly restricted. It's a thin width, not heavy (but strong) and my pup can easily pull it around behind her while getting used to the feel of a leash, and I don't have to lug around a leash that weighs more than my dog! Perfect for me, perfect for my pup!

This is my second teaching lead. The first one was left behind and I could not/ would not live without one. The lead allows you to walk your dog hands free if needed and gives you the flexibility of clipping your dog to your chair or table when seated outdoors. I never have to worry about keeping my puppy safe because I always know just where he is- he's within teaching lead reach of me, just where he belongs!

This is my third one (in six years) and I really like how it works. We used it for puppy training to keep our dog nearby or attached somewhere and also for walks. I also use it for running handsfree. It's starting to wear out and we're getting a new puppy soon. I also like Sara's book plus others for training.

This was purchased for a new puppy, and has proven to be an excellent tool! She is learning the house rules and this lead helps in the process. Well pleased with it!

The Teaching Lead arrived today but there was a grommet missing just where I would need to use it. I will try to get a replacement from the seller. I will let you know how that works out.Steve
