The Rock Natural Mineral Rock Deodorant (Scent Free), 4.25-Ounce

No Fragrance! No Masking Fragrance! No Aluminum! I've been using "The Rock" deodorant for several years now. It works as well if not better than store bought junk with no smell or chemicals.There is a bit of a learning curve for using this stuff. While in the shower, clean your arm pits real well and don't leave any soap on them. Hop out of the shower leaving your arm pits wet. As in very wet. Comb your hair and beard real quick then go right to "The Rock". You want to coat this rock on your arm pits from top to bottom, over and over until your arm pits are dry. It takes a good 2 minutes. Leave off your shirt until everything is good and dry. If you did a decent job this stuff is unbelievable.The science here is that your arm pits are cleaned in the shower during which the bacteria is cleaned. You prevent the growth of bacteria by applying "The Rock". Coating the entire surface of your armpit prevents the same bacteria which is what causes the smell. You sweat normally but without the nasty odor. I can go 24 to 48 hours without any stink. This isn't an anti-antiperspirant. Given that this is called the Particular Man, it's for Men. Men sweat. Don't try and hold that in, you're a Man. Thanks to "The Rock" you don't have to smell like a toilet-pants subway drifter any longer.The only downsides are the deodorant container is fragile. The top of the container can crack. Don't drop "The Rock" as it shatters like glass and the sharp pieces don't feel good on your arm pits. Even with the ritual required to apply it correctly and it's fragile nature it's still clearly a 5 out of 5.

I bought this in hopes of finding an effective natural solution to the chemicals we put under our arms. I apply this product as directed and on light activity days (like staying home, light housework and running to the store) this product works just fine. I find myself with only mild underarm odor at the end of the day. However, I tried to use it while at work and it didn't go so well. I'm a nurse and I hustle when I work. Two hours into my shift I can feel the wetness under my arms, and by the 5th hour I had to apply a typical deodorant (which I brought with me cause I was afraid this would happen) to stop the stink. Hope this helps you make a decision.

Love crystal deodorants, and this one does have a slightly better shape and applicator holder thingy than the Crystal brand. I think you are primarily paying for the manly label and traditional deodorant shape though. Crystal brand has a more better sort-of-new-age looking rock in it though. They work about the same though as best I can tell. Better in every way than traditional deodorants, and cheaper, and they last "forever" - ya cant go wrong.

Bought this to try it along with the crystal brand because this looked like it had a better shape on the top. It does have a nice wider tip but the dispenser is a push up type which would be fine, except that the "rock" is not well secured to the dispenser base and the fist time I used it the stone fell out of the dispenser and shattered into a few large pieces and many little ones. So while it was effective as a deodorant the dispenser made it useless. Maybe I had a defective one but I'm not sure I would buy this brand again based on this.

It took a couple days to get used to this deodorant. First couple days I thought it didn't work too well. I was out of my regular deodorant so I continued to use it anyway. After a couple of days of continuous use it seemed to start working better. I like it because it doesn't make my pits feel gummed up or leave stains. I'll continue to use it and recommend it.

This stuff works great once the caked on gunk you've been using wears off. Apply it with wet underarms liberally and you should be in good shape. It doesn't keep you from sweating, but it doesn't allow odor to build. As with anything, there is a limit. I work in air conditioning and nothing will prevent stink when you are in a hot attic!

As a particular woman, I've been using this wonderful scent-free product for several years. I especially appreciate that one thorough application lasts for several days, which is great for when I don't feel like showering, and, unlike most deodorants, it doesn't give me a rash.
