SOLARAY Potency St. John's Wort One Daily 900mg. 60 Tablets

I noticed a positive change in my behaviour and thinking in the 1st few days. I take it in the morning on an empty stomach (900 mg once a day) even though it says not to. I really love the once a day dosing as I don't have to remember to take it multiple times a day. I am on my 8th week so be patient as there really is some time involved for the full adjustment. It will mess with my sleep and I hate having to wear sunblock, long sleeves etc. but it's a small price to pay for sanity and peace. For what it's worth, I have gone on the pharma merry go round and none of that stuff worked as well as this. I don't recommend doing the full dose on an empty stomach for everyone, but I've always taken the jerk route in an attempt to self cure myself. Works for menopause so I'm actually killing 2 birds.

I took this for a while instead of pharmaceuticals with excellent mood results. At some point the sun side effect got to me. My hands felt like they had broken glass on them when I was in the sun, even in May. (New England). I had to stop. I had moved back to pharmaceutical meds and got even worse side effects from them. Now I take Sam-e and 5HTP - they work well and no side effects. My husband has been on and off the wort for years. He was having some anger issues and decided to take these again. Happy home again. He gets minor sun issues, but he is a manly man so he tolerates it.

I'm not sure how I would gauge the effectiveness of this; however, I will say that it's not hard to swallow and it's not super smelly. I feel like anything that makes you think that you are more at ease, helps. I wanted to take a supplement that might help with anxiety and sleep and tried this out. I feel like after taking it for a few weeks, I do feel better and have a better energy level due to less stress.

I have been taking St John Wort for over thirty years for mood swings; and this particular brand for over three years. This product formulation and one 1,000 mg daily caplet certainly works for me. Product is well packaged and is a quality St John formulation.

This is the best St. John Wort that I have tried. It has worked a lot better than all the depression meds I tried with out all the side effects. I do think it takes a month or two before it really kicks in. I know that I am a lot happier and not near as anxious as I use to be. I am for sure going to keep taking it.
