I wasn’t sure at first about the hat but it was my fault. If you wear your hair in a top knot like I do the hat doesn’t come down on your head. I struggled at first but realized I had to wear my hair in a side braid. Meaning, on top was too much hair with my clip. Today I wore my hair different and the hat fit great! I could feel it snug on my head which I like. The string under my chin is not noticeable. No issues at all. This hat provides sun coverage for sunny Arizona. I wear it hiking & walking so it’s great! My husband picked it out for me as a joke as it’s large. But the models wearing the hat must weigh 90 pounds. I’m a larger girl so it doesn’t look so huge on me. Lol. Happy with my hat! 😁NOTE: It shaped nicely after sitting in my hot truck for about 24 hours. It has a solid brim. Does seem like it’s made nicely.

this hat is perfect! I have a spot on my face and constantly looking for ways to protect my skin. well,this hat is perfect, I use it to go kayaking, it is truly very light in weight, has vent for air, has snap rings to give a different shape and a string to pull it, doesn't flight off. best part is the coverage, covers and protect me from the sun all around, to my shoulders, its absolutely perfect....I love it. :0)

I use this hat in a very sunny location. The great thing is that it affords a large diameter of shade which helps in preventing sunburn and also shades and cools as I garden away. When I rest and put it behind by back, it isn't so hot that it's uncomfortable. It's great on walks, but a little large for a long hike. However, in the midst of summer, I would use it for the protection it affords.

I love this hat because not only does it protect from the sun and doesn’t get too hot to wear.

This is the second time I have bought this hat. I love the wide brim for sun exposure. It is easy to wash in the washing machine and hang dry. I get more compliments on it than any hat I have ever owned.

UPDATE:There is an issue with the integrity of the band adjuster as the the 2nd hat's tightener also started sliding within a few weeks of use. :-(This hat is lightweight and the adjustable clasp on the string really helps keep it from flying away during breezy days. (My had is khaki gray-colored.)I had to return the first hat I purchased because the adjuster on the band's circumference didn't work but the second one seems to keep it securely on my (rather small) head.The brim's angle keeps the sun off my face. My only regret is that I didn't discover this hat until the end of summer!

i really like this hat because the brim is so wide that can protect my face and neck from the sun and it has lanyard to keep it from flying away your head when wind blows.

very pleased with product. the packing folds unfurled after a few hours of laying it flat.Yet to test out a walk in the rain. but definately fab for hiding away from the bright Aussie Sunshine.

After waiting for weeks, finally came, all folded up tiny so that the brim has big folds in it that I can't be removed. Therefore it doesn't sit out but is divided into quarters.Also they claimed " hat comes with a velcro which can help to bring a snug fit for you" and the elastic that should make the hat fit snugger doesn't do anything because it is stitched in right where it enters the hat, so actually doesn't make the hat a tighter fit.Waste of money!!
