I ordered this garage door opener after I went to my local store and found it way more expensive, this one was way better value. It was a breeze to install and a great quality product. I install it to the side of the garage area and checked it out when it got dark the lighting was perfect for me. Great Buy!

Opening and closing with code works as advertised with chamberlain. ONE TOUCH CLOSE ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT WORK!! I specifically bought this one because it states one touch does work. Steer clear if you want that feature to work!

The remote took some figuring out to program, the provided instructions were not accurate. I ended up learning the way from a YouTube video of somebody programming the remote from beginning to end. The remote works well on moderate climates. But in the region where I live winters get cold (below zero temperatures), and the remote stops working. This defeats the purpose of having a remote, so if your region is also cold I suggest you buying a different model.

Wow! It worked on our 1986 Genie opener! Open up your old remote OR the controller on motor and write down dip switch positions and follow directions. It worked on first try! Excellent directions, Excellent value! Bravo!

Easy to install, follow directions, don't skip a step, remember, 15 seconds per step. Product is much nicer then original pad. Great value, works perfectly.

I was probably jerking around trying to program the keypad for over 6 hours with the included instructions. I have the older Stanley opener with the 10 digital switches. Between the confusing 1111# and the 2222#, then figure out and enter my digiswitch 10 number code, plus #, it was a nightmare. I tried to get help on youtube but could only find the "learn" button videos. After 4 hours of frustration I had contacted Amazon to send the keypad back. The next day I was still determined to beat the little bast*rd so I started again writing everything I needed to do on a piece of paper. I finally got it to work once with the 1111# code, then tried to change code, DOA. Watching the videos I noticed that some keypads needed the code and another number or symbol to work. That led me to try the new code plus the # key and door opened/closed. Seller could have saved me a lot of time putting that little detail at the end of the instructions. It almost cost them a sale!

I have a Genie garage door opener that was made in 2005 (I know, it's old), and was quite happy that this worked with it even though it specifically said Chamberlain in the title. If you look at the manual, this actually supports 9 different types of openers dating back to 1993. Installation was a breeze and is secured by 2 enclosed screws, powered by a single 9v battery. After entering programming mode, you simply had to press the learning button on the opener and the garage door opener picked it right up (you do need to press # after your pin since there is no dedicated open button on this remote). I like this slide-up cover design because the cover would not break on a hinge. The one that flips upwards has a hinge that could potentially break, which was what happened on my last keypad remote. The cover was a bit tight when you first put it on, although a few drops of oil on the cover rails should quickly get that taken care of.
